7. In a cold climate, a dehumidifier is a must! Hard to run one when not on shore power, but the ability to really dry out the boat on the days you do have unlimited power is worth every penny. Good ventilation over the galley range is another area boats usually lack. General ventilation with ouside air can only do so much if you are in a cold AND humid climate.

8. Hey you guys great video as always just wanted to let you know on Amazon you can get little dehumidifiers are designed for like one room but if you get a couple of these that should slow the mold way down if not stop it completely🥰🇺🇸😊👍

9. Get the vinegar and peroxide out people please don't use bleach The bleach is just for the topical stains It doesn't kill the mold But I know you guys know this already. Also they have the stuff that you get and you just open it and it collects the water you can get that at any of the boat shops it's a good thing to have it collects the condensation but please peroxide and vinegar not together one or the other

20. Try a few of drops of clove oil in water and mist the area with a hand spray bottle. Let it naturally air dry – don't wipe it down. This will kill the spores. Only downside is that the cabin will smell like grandma's house for a few days.

25. As far a killing mold, bromine as used for treating hot tubs is almost odorless unlike using chlorine, or chlorine bleach works well.
    To keep mold from reforming, an ozone generator kills mold spores. Lowering the humidity is the key to keep it from reappearing.

26. Carfull useing vinagar, i have had to rebuild a lot of caravan shower floors as over time vinagar softens fiberglass

27. Moldy cracks can be a problem all right, probably a little late now, but Oxiclean works good on all molds.

I wish we would have known what dates you guys were going to be in the Solomons Island area, it's my homeport at Spring Cove Marina and we could have hosted you and provided you with good old-fashioned Southern Maryland tourism and sightseeing, and transportation while you were there. 32. OMG, I just watched this episode and you mentioned you lived in Spotsylvania at one time. I actually live in Spotsy about 20min from Lake Anna around Todds Tavern area. I never knew and I've been following you for a few years… Small world!!

34. If the mold problem keeps going the best way to kill mold us a 50 / 50 mix of bleach and water but don't dump any left over mix into your drains or tanks , after its clean leave your cabinet doors open as much as possible and run fans to move air and dry things out

36. Add one-quarter of a tablespoon of baking soda to a spray bottle of water and shake until it has dissolved. Spray the moldy area with the baking soda and water solution, then use a scrub brush to remove mold from the surface. Next, rinse the surface with water to remove any residue and baking soda.
