STORM bound apoi FOG bound drifting și BECALMED, în cele din urmă navigam în alizee doar pentru ca ALARMĂ DE SANTIA să se declanșeze la 3 dimineața. Can’t be effusive enough about how good your videos are and how you continually improve on your story telling. HUGE thank you and… I’m now going to have to join your Patrons! Going to look for the sign up link now! 😊
Just watched Ep. 136 and at 13 min. mark, both of you are on the foredeck with no tie lines and no life jacket, sea state was calm but……please be safe.
:;
Love the new camera angles. Nice job.
You got fans in South Florida and I believe this is one of your destinations. If you need anything just reach out. Fair winds my friends.
Love the new insta 360 one camera views! Thinking of one for ourselves. Thanks for the vid!
As with your previous ones, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, especially the information about the Insta 360 One X2. I purchased one a couple of months ago and have added it to the GoPro and Ghost cameras used on my boat. I followed the link you provided and ordered the long selfie stick so I hope you benefit financially from my small order. Thank you!
Love your videos and the music choices… puts you right in the boat with you guys! 👍🌏💕🕉🙏😊
I was just wondering how you get those shots then you explained it clearly now its time to get me an Insta 360
Great episode as usual! We were recently in an interesting conversation about whether to rig a preventer all the way out at the end of the boom vs. in the middle as it looked like you are rigging it. The argument was that it's a stronger spot to rig at the end otherwise you run the risk of snapping the boom. You guys have made a lot of miles configured like this, so who's to say. But, thought I'd mention it as it's something we're thinking about.
Love the effects from your stick camera thingamy!
Outstanding! Please put on lifelines though particularly when on the deck changing sails. Talk about giving us heart palpitations! Keep safe and well. Chris.
Until now looks like a fantastic passage. Happy for you guys!
Pretty useful tool the Insta 360. Keep it up guys!
Matt and Amy: about 350 nm after you left Walvis Bay, around the time when the fog-bank halted you and then you popped out and picked up the trades, you were crossing an undersea mountain range. There's a big basin about 4,000 metres deep off the Walvis Bay coast, then at the ridge it's down to "only" 1,000 metres in places; then it plunges down to 5,000 metres across the ocean floor towards St Helena. The undersea range runs south-west to north-east, reaching land at about the Namibia – Angola border, so you crossed it at right angles. Do those deep features make any difference to you, or to the currents, the swell, or weather?
Guys you're sailing abilities are bar none impressive my comments were of concern. Having grown up on the Chesapeake Bay later on a captain of large yachts as well as a instructor safety was alway foremost in my mind. On sail boats without radar flying a radar reflector up in the rigging aided in being recognized in fog/rain/dark nights. I look forward to seeing your new videos !
what video edit sotfware are you using :)?
Your shots and editing is inspiring and awesome
Loved every piece of this video, especially the sail and whisker pole change, the "new drone camera", you can see the selfie stick in some of the shots in the desert, due to it causing a shawod, otherwise it looks like an awesome piece of equipment.. Fair winds.
<3<3<3
As I told you before my grandmother who passed At 99 Was named Florence. So you have my grandmother's luck. Love the pictures of you sailing And your boat in motion Along with all the exclamations Of your progress or lack of. Be safe.Beautiful photography.
Just a thought but apparently some drone flyers use a tether to their drone UK (using fishing line) its a legal thing that allows them to use a heavier drone or something. Anyhow it would allow you to use yours and at least not lose it in the sea.
Great work!!!
You remain the best sailing couple ever on YouTube. You are so informative and brilliantly competent in what you do.
I've noticed that the sailing channels witj actual sailing and the ensuing adventures that entails grow in subscribership (like yours).
The channels that are constantly refitting or moving on to giant catamarans… not so much. Snore.
Sail away! ⛵️
Wow! Awesome job finding the leak and thanks for the information on the Insta.
Excellent ! This Insta360 cam features a "ghost town" mode to get rid of the folks around you. I wish it would work for real 😂 It would be a game changer for office life !
I thought I'd take a look at episode 9 when you last sprung a leak and watched episode 10 while I was at it. Really interesting to see how your video making style has changed. You're definitely explaining things much more now and your production quality is far far higher. So overall they're much better now although that said, you both had a more 'cheeky' laid back style then 😉
Thanks Florence, love that anchorage !
Thanks for Camera tip… I love your videos!!! this form a video professional of 45 years…
So colt get the details on how you got the "drone" footage and to get a little peek into the editing software where you put all the clips together.
Really enjoy you and your videos. I'm sure you have over 100k other "friends" around the globe.
Skills all around. The sailing though, is top.
Paddy, sorry to be pedantic, but the s in Laos is silent. It's Lao as in cow. You're welcome!
Funny, you said flying and landing a drone on a moving boat is hard. Now you can appreciate the aircraft carrier pilots of WWII. Flying propeller planes onto a deck that is going side to side, up and down, and moving away from you. Now that took some skill.
Hi Florence, what type of 360 camera do you have? Great shots with it.
So how come you guys don't sail to Argentina and Brazil and on up to the Caribbean?
A superb episode again.
You two are SAILORS!
Looking forward to the rest of the Atlantic crossing.
Love watching, learning from you both! Thank you and Cheers 🤩⛵️🤩
I love and look forward to your videos. Of all the other sailing vlogers I enjoy yours the most. My wife and I refer to you as "The racing kids" and I regret turning down the chance to go racing when we lived i Levkas Marina in the Greek Islands. Racing improves the breed.
Love your new 'stick'. I lost concentration a little when I found myself trying to work out how the shot I was looking at was actually taken. Thanks so much for explaining. BTW your techie explanations of many details over the past 6 years, (is it really 6yrs???), are one of the highlights for me. And clearly many others. Both of you have developed an easy, relaxed way of presenting which makes it very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Thankyou for sharing this with me and so many others in such a lovely way.
I need to find another way to support you, as I just canceled my Patreon pledge and requested account deletion. There is and has been stuff coming out about Patreon that is the opposite of good, I cannot support them anymore. Check your dependable fact-based news organizations if you want specifics.
Both on the foredeck, and not a lifeline or floatation device between them. Not smart.
The new sailing videos with camera in space are the best I have seen. It is almost mesmerizing. You guys are hard core sailors. Doing it while your young is smart. I enjoy watching. SAIL ON!!!!!!!!!!
Consistently one of the most balanced no spin truly great depth … the collection of videos … a definite keepsake! TY and look forward to St Helena's safe passage.
Why have you opted for 2 Atlantic crossings instead of a coastal hop up West Africa and visit more countries?
Someone said that any ocean you could cross in a Optimist dinghy is the south Atlantic, you must have had a bit of bad winds!
Anyhow I love your videos as always ❤️
S
Wonderful!
Hello
Really enjoyed your BEHIND the LENS! TY
