1. Take the coax back out the mizzen and put some longish cable ties all the way along it every foot or so. The tail ends will spring it off the inside a bit and stop that slapping. Great vid.

  2. A huge well done 👏 an fair winds to next passage …..very proud of you both 💓, who knows might meet u in yourl dream destination south Georgia one day…… I'm very happy for you both…

  3. Great to see you finally cast off into the unknown.
I wanted to ask.. Are you considering fitting a Dodger and Bimini?
A must have IMHO. With all the boat prep you've been doing I thought you might have done that before departing.

  4. Blimey – a baptism of fire… Well done!

Top tip – get yourself some good red cabin lights/torches for night-time to preserve your night vision instead of blinding yourself with white light when filming, etc.

  5. Dreaming of living on boat myself at the moment, and seeing how you guys handle all this is just sooo inspirational! Safe travels!

  6. Good to see the sails up and full of wind. Love that you don’t hide your fear, excitement, sorrow and joy; it is there for us all to see. Thank you for keeping it real.

  7. Just as you were hoisting your Kemp sail I had a notification from Kemp pop up. Scary stuff.

Don't forget i,f all gets a bit much you can always heave to.

  8. Zac, Becka, congratulations ur Bloody doing it!!!!! And the fact u hit a big squall on ur first day, is a good sign, quick baptism get it out of the way. Remember trust Teulu, she's a strong boat and uv made her so much more capable, but u two are behind the wheel, so get tough and hold on, because this is and Adventure of a Lifetime. I'm extaticaly happy for u both. Becka it ok to be emotional, we love u because ur u, but now if the SHTF and it will, be courageous and strong, then breakdown after ok. We will be there for u. This is what u both wanted so enjoy, but safety first and always err on the side of caution. Fair winds🌬🌈🇦🇺😁⭐🇬🇧

  9. If you’re heading the Algarve, think about Portimao rather than Faro. There is a good cheap Marina, but also a large and very safe free anchorage in all weather conditions. Faro is a tight and very tidal anchorage

  10. The prop issue might be solved by keeping the engine in reverse , while turned off, which locks the prop and should stop it turning while sailing. Just remember to put it back in neutral before you start the engine!

  11. When you went up the mast, I couldn't tell if you had one line or two lines (second line a safety line in case the main line breaks). You should use two lines( the safety line is God Save Becka!). :¬) Webhead USA

  12. Well done to you both for getting away, often this is the hardest part! You have an amazing strong boat made more robust by your own fair hands with your hard work ethic and commitment. Trust in her, get to know her and build your trust in yourselves, there’ll be no stopping you! 👏👏❤️

  13. I suspect you have figured this out now, but it is way easier to reef if you come up into the wind (and is safer with the boom over the boat). Well done team – you are on your way!

  14. I have seen a couple on youtube and after a sea like that their dream fell apart . They gave up. But i can see a clear differance here. Good on you keep it up

  15. So happy for you guys. It is a beautiful wonderful payoff for all your hard work and fretting! I like your content and appreciate both of you. Looking forward to the Med or wherever else you go. 🎉❤

  16. The 'training wheels' are well and true off now. Keep your hand on the wheel and pedal like hell. Can't wait to see you evolve into skilful and knowledgable sailors. Film what you can when you can, stay safe and have fun. You're rocking it
