2. I am interested to see the Philippine excursion. Hey, since you are replacing the alternator, have you thought about a welding capable alternator setup? Might be nice to have on hand for you or others especially in remote places. Just a thought. Cheers!

3. Thoughts on that, crossing the Gulf Stream, Might seem a west wind is perfect, except west wind is about to change to north which is worst case scenario.

   I plan to sail there also as I am married to a Filipina myself. Looking forward to seeing more adventures.
