  1. Oh how I really love the last part of this video. Missed your violin music very much🥰. Perhaps you can play a piece from the book for each episode. That would make this series most unique. Looking forward to your next episode 😍

  2. Aladino, as an ethnomusicologist, I can tell you that you are in good company . The vast majority of the world's musical traditions have little use for harmony and little knowledge of it, except where it has been introduced as a result of Westernisation. The harmonies Maya plays here were added by upper-class collectors who were trained in Western Art Music and believed the music of the lower classes had to be "improved" to make it acceptable in middle-class drawing rooms. These harmonies were almost certainly not part of the original aural tradition.

  3. Susanna`s jam was excellent! But where are you coming from?
There is a little tongue on the rubber seal between the lid and the jar.
Just pull on it and the jar will open.
Why do you have to stick a knife in it? Try to solve a problem without using violence! That`s what Americans do.

  4. Love, love your channel! Can you explain why you have two winches at the stern? Did you upgrade to the self-tailing and keep the rear ones for a good angle to your jib tracks? I'm very interested because we're considering upgrading the winches on our 26' Pearson.

  5. Storytelling, mood, music – this adds to a composition in itself. I often watch Youtube in breaks from work, but not yours: Those are reserved for times when I can enjoy your videos and fall into the days and moods you picture. No matter if its boatwork or sailing, your videos are always something I am looking forward to for the entire week.

  6. What a beautiful episode! I know that the Skagen Painters weren’t from the Limfjord, but most of the shots in this video look like they could have come straight out of a Kroyer or Ancher. I’m still amazed by the movie magic in the scenes with your “twin”, and eagerly await the next one.
    Fair seas,
    -J

  7. Thank you for the lovely video and beautiful duet with yourself at the end Maya! You are both so talented on so many levels! Have a good week! ⛵️

  8. I’m Norwegian, but have sailed through the Limfjord several times. Definitely recommendable. Scandinavian, but in a different way than Sweden and Norway are Scandinavian. One has to experience them all to get how that is…

I loved the authentic desperation when Dini said he doesn’t know what harmony is. He apparently just wanted an explanation for the viewers, but that got lost in translation. The idea that some might not know what it is was shocking. 🙂 By the way, my girlfriend is also a pro musician, so I sometimes get to feel a bit incompetent. On the other hand I’m good at sailing, so I don’t feel like a looser. 🙂

  9. I’ve never sailed before but when the sails go up and the engine becomes silent the feeling is imagined with some accuracy thanks to you two. 😊

  10. While my basic education may be lacking, I can certainly appreciate that your performance was beautiful. It was a great example of what sets your channel apart from others. Cheers

  11. Maya, I must say never before have I watched such comforting and enjoyable historical cinematography. Your sincerity about the people, the countryside, and communication expressed by yourself and Aladino’s jovial Witt, is as beautiful as the music. Thank you for the refreshing perspectives amongst a world of tension and discord. Thank you for the peace of mind. The two of you are a welcome pleasure I look forward to each week. Thanks for sharing. 🫧⚓️🫧
