Hi, fantastic work, she looks really good, I have one suggestion please take it as constructive, where you are painting the bulwark planks where they are bolted to the frames there is a small
gap this is where fresh/rainwater will gradually soak in and start to rot, if I was painting there I would also seal the gap with sika flex, I know it is extra work but it is a small insurance policy
against Freshwater Rot that you might not see or be aware of until the damage is profound, lots of love to you both and the great bunch of carpenters at the boatyard.
Just a thought, it would be nice ( my opinion), to see a few progress based videos, as opposed to all process based videos.
You passion for building your new home is incredible, and I bless you both for the journey you’re taking.
Great work guys ! You don't need a gym moving all that ballast around.😉 A glossy deck will make you want to wear sun glasses while sailing. Why not a satin finish so the sunlight won't bother the view. Greetings and all the best, Frank
Pronounce it as Bull-Walk Ben!
Looking good with the extra painting and the inside painted.
First up you are doing a great job. But looking at the battons you used here you are taking a very significant risk of harsh weather causing them to break. I don't think this would pass a safety inspection. you don't want these things moving around for obvious reasons.
The best music and the most beautiful boat. Thank you !
Love your approach to a permanent ballast. And the displacement calculations for fluids is right out of US Navy Basic Engineering course part 1. Marvelous
Wow! Keep Painting 😊😊😊
The design of the new neighbor is so similar to Yaba. Is there a name for this design or a particular architect who made it?
Please fix those stones in place and put bumpers between the stones and the water tanks. Otherwise, you will be bitten when you least expect it. Routing for you guys, watching your progress avidly.
Хорошая работа . На эту лодку пошли бы алые паруса .
I would stick the stones also? May be epoxy the stones to the batons? The 10 foot waves will move them around otherwise
those battens look too frail for that load. Just think of crashing waves and all that tonnage resting on those little sticks.
Your ballast will shift, in heavy seas. You need to think again, I’m afraid. ☹️
Those stones will jump around in heavy seas
Only good changes can come to two fine people such as you!!!
I am excited to see how you set up your water tanks.
C u next week 🙂
Love to hear a break down on what you have in vested and what has been donated. Both supply, time and labor.. be real about it.
Doin well. I could see how the road'd work, but it looks like it is. Way kool to see Coyo [?] directin the op, and givin orders too! Love how the wood shows through planning to something similar with the floor of my campervan. Saw it here! Thanks!
Thanks!
Why not just make a concrete keel? Seems everything below rattling around could loosen boards. Just curious
Just a thought, while your constantly bouncing up and down will those concrete blocks rub each other and shed sand and Little Rock’s into your bilge ?
Good luck
Wow really transforming now. Bravo !!!!

Great progress! I would have made the battens supporting the hex stones larger. If they couldn't be thicker because of height issues, than at least make them wider. Also I would have taken the time and spent the money to epoxy paint ALL of the ballast stones. It wouldn't be good if stone particles or grit were to clog a bilge pump in an emergency.
I've been watching this adventure from the start and it occurred to me how different your lives are compared to what you expected. I guess when you bought the boat you thought you would do a little maintenance and then start your diving trips. Instead you have spent all this time rebuilding the boat. Totally different but equally rewarding I'm sure.
Surely those thin batons are going to break under the weight of those stones
Can’t wait to see Yaba sail.
