back in 09, I was on my way to T Bolt with a Nordhavn 62 for a yard period. We ducked in to the Winyah and up to Georgetown to wait out some stiff southerly winds. While there, we contemplated doing the ICW to get to the yard but the locals said don't do it due to our draft and the depths so back to sea we went.

Well, if'n yer gonna dry out all'a time, maybe bilge keels would be a good thing 😉 On the more serious side, grounding seems to be a thing this year on all the US rivers due to drought. I wouldn't think that would affect the waters you are in that are so directly tied to the ocean but river flow into an estuary does effect tidal levels.
What do yo think about the Bob423 ICW tracks? Used them? What is your draft? Thanks
Aground, no biggie. When trying to make time on the ICW, I have run out of the channel at night, anchored, and had a decent sleep at 20 degrees leaned over. All good in the AM.

never been in the ICW, but it just seems not worth it for sailors. especially deep draft yachts

If you’re using Navionics Charts if you mark the spot on the GPS call him up or send him an email and tell him exactly where and tell him how much the chart is out as I took the depth on one of their charts up at Rainbow Beach which is Fraser island near Queensland Australia Where the charts at 2 m at low tide there was only 40 cm at low tide which is 6’6” but it was 1‘4“ I don’t know how many other people have been trapped by their charts but you pay top dollar for them Tony
I’ve “done that, been there”, once with my first boat when I decided to move my boat to a sea way to lean the barnacles off and clean the bottom. However, my horribly fouled prop didn’t have enough push to get me the whole way, so had the joy of a night laying on the side, …just like that. It was kinda fun. I should have checked the tide chart. No, ……didn’t have one.
Just so you know, S3E20 is mistitled as S5E20. Several episodes in season 3 are actually.
