  1. Hey Jess, I love this trope and thanks for the amazing recommendations 💯💚 on the side note 😋I know Daisy haites is really hard to get through because we only want to read about Magnolia Parks 😂 but please read MP2, I really loved that vlog of yours for the first one and would love to see your reaction for the second one 🤍

  2. I LOVE this trope. What’s funny is I absolutely hate love triangles so when I mention a book that has this trope that I love (like Still Beating 😘😘😘) people are always like “but you hate love triangles!!!” but to me this is sooo different than a love triangle when you don’t know who the MCs are going to end up with. Another good one I just read by Kandi Steiner that has this like four different times in the same book is A Love Letter to Whiskey.

  3. I’m reading Texas Destiny right now after you recommended it and it has the same trope and I’m loving it! Thank you so much for recommending it cause I would have never picked it up on my own.

  4. Baby Mine by Kennedy Fox follows the same trope! It’s a duet, Baby Yours being the sequel. I read those two books in one sitting, they were that good! And the angst was 👌🏻

    Here’s the blurb :

    « I saw her first.
    Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty.
    I was captivated.
But it didn’t matter because when she walks out of my best friend’s bedroom half naked, I know I’ve lost my chance.

Now we’re roommates and constantly fighting about our living arrangements. Though we argue about everything, I can’t stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. I should move out so I can finally get over her, but the selfish part of me can’t let go.

When tragedy strikes, we’re left to deal with it together. Instead of pushing her away, I pull her closer.

Just as we come to terms with our new reality, she reveals a life changing event that affects us both.
And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life—remain friends or confess my feelings and risk it all. »

  5. My parents met this way. My mom was dating a guy who wanted to take skydiving lessons and my dad was the instructor. Three months later they were married and had 52 years together till we lost her last year. I’ve always thought their story would make a good book ❤️
