  1. Watching the scuttled sailing yacht being moved shows just how big that ship is. Looks a lot longer now than when it was at the original mooring spot. If they can refurbish it that is one nice ship! 👍🏻 🇺🇲 🤔

  2. Really hope you get to follow up and find out about Eleanora E (forgive me if spelling incorrect) love the idea of a 1910 replica and hope it finds a new and long life with it’s new owner. And if you have the good fortune to speak with him or her let them know folks are rooting for her. Great content as always

  3. Are they just salvaging this for the hull? The engine has to be worthless. The electronics shot. Sails kaput. Seriously, it's a replica. Couldn't you just build a brand new one for less?

  4. I think with the boat that ran aground is they probably were using a shallow 'rat run' that they got away with traversing numerous times in the past that other boats most likely used, only this time their manna was depleted and Mr Murphy duly threw his wrench into the works..

  5. I'm fairly sure Eleanora E is heading to Royal Huisman for repair/restoration as they have specialised in classic yachts. I just hope that temporary repair is good as they are going to cross the Bay of Biscay under tow in storm season with a conveyor belt of bad weather!

  6. Great to see Eleonora E being repaired. Big job ahead for the shipyard and right idea taking it to The Netherlands, shipyards out there are the best of the best imo. I hope the towing procedure goes well.

Secondly, with MY Mizu, it always perplexes me as to why some vessels carry cars on deck, would salt water spray not be a huge issue when underway? When we're underway for a few hours/days there's always a thin layer of salt water on the vessel. Huge car fan here, that's why I think about this 🤣

  7. What a time they have had with the damaged yaught. It's is ironic that people purchase a big yaught for fun and get away.. to escape from the world. But in this case purchased a slice of Hell.. ouch ..!

  8. Always fascinating. Thanks for the update about the sailing yacht. I was curious about its ultimate fate. These are well beyond my price range, but I'd often see these vessels while in port on cruises or docked in San Diego and other marinas here in SoCal. As a former sailor (US Navy) I love these types of stories.

  9. Hard to imagine it floating again given the extent of the damage. Looks like several months of hard work ahead to get it up speed again. Hope we get a guided tour of her ( via this channel) when she's completed
