So glad Haley and the rest are ok. Been in that situation and it is scary. The ocean can be unforgiving but so grateful this time she was forgiving. Smart to have gotten out of there ✌️💜
I wanna come.
That cash was a nice surprise.
Air intake issues is a great guess!!
Hey Colin, this was a great video and scary as hell! Poor Hayley!! Fortunately she is ok but what a lesson on how you must respect the ocean and it's power. You are so incredibly patient and even mannered Colin!! Good on you mate!!
Glad you’re ok girls, lesson learned ✌️🙏🏽
Stay away from that outboard propeller! Wonder if dingy could stay seaward of surf, float a line to the beach & tow girls through surf to calm sea?
Woohoo 🎉
Yeah, been there in Puerto Rico next to a jetty. Current pulling you out and waves breaking over your head. I made it but the guy next to me didn't. Think he had a heart attack while fighting to get back in. The ocean is a powerful thing!
god bless glad everybody is all good 👍
Playa grande pura vida! 🙂
A real Piha moment. Kia Kaha
The ocean isn’t a playground, she was lucky
I’ve been on it my entire life, the minute you don’t respect it , It will remind you , almost got me Once , don’t be scared of it Hayley but I bet ya she respects it now
Good buddy-ing up and going for safety, even beaching the dingy for a while if need be…wind shifts and wave sets, beware…time and tides.
You should have left some money in that account;}
Loosing things seems to be a bit of a Colin theme 😁
Thanks for such an entertaining vid. Really top notch filming and content and important message about safety.
wish i was worried about the ocean and not other assholes poppin stray rounds off in the hood
mis management is not finding crap, and that boat must stink with those big dogs peeing and crapping on board and all those people…yuk
I skipped Tamarindo in 2009. Wish I didn't but I guess I wasn't ballsy enough or had lack of info for safe anchorages. 18?
Do they make a suitable life vest for surfers? Or might that only make things worse? Might be a good safeguard for those new to the *salty beast*, eh? 🙂
You are a great Capt, Colin. I could see in your face the genuine concern for your crew and friends getting back aboard safely. Well done.
Intense!
The CO2 cartridge inflatable PFDs that we used for scuba diving could be good too . . . though remembering to yank the cord and relax can be an elusive command in the heat of the moment! 🙁
So glad everyone is OK and this ended well. As a 40 year open water survival instructor I can vouch for how dangerous it can get and it always seems the conditions that look the mildest are the most dangerous! NEVER underestimate the power of the ocean and respect it unconditionally at ALL times no matter how experienced or knowledgeable you are!
Wenches on winches action!

When you all just up and quit you tube please keep us advised as to where we can see your videos. It seems YouTube is doing their best to run off the people that work hard to supply the videos to them! Then they fill them with ads lasting longer than the videos do. A lot of the viewers like me are just feed up with their bullshit!
In my 60s now but my life was spent swimming, surfing and fishing out of Greymouth, the sea has no friends watched friends drown on more than one occasion crossing the bar and more than once thought we weren't going to make it coming over the bar. If you don't respect the sea it's going to get you, love your channel Colin take care mate.
Got caught in some big surf in bermuda got away with a black eye and a saltwater breakfast. Scared the crap outa me lol
Ten miles an hour isn't bad , they gave me a speeding ticket , for doing thirty in a thirty . Little blue man jumps out in front of you and wants forty dollars for doing thirty lol . Pay the man and be on your way.
Glad that all turned out well!
Hello Colin thanks to your friend for helping the girls that was really risky glad they're okay God bless all of you stay safe enjoy your time there
I'm currently fixing up a catalina 22 for a new appartment and am planning on sailing it for vacations. This channel gives a lot of good inspiration to work on it and get it done. Would love to run into yall on the water one day soon hopefully

Growing up in the ocean, swimming, surfing, etc…
All the playing as a child, teaches you about waves and currents, when to stay calm and when to expend energy.
We've all been there, it always opens your eyes.
I was a swim team member as a kid Every summer day at the pool, pond or lake , I grew up in the water learned to water ski in the duck river in Tenn. I could tread water for hours. I lived in south Fl. for a min and while swimming 30 yards off the beach I had the exact same thing happen , the washing machine started , my toes could touch every once in a wave but no matter how hard I stroked I just went backward when I stopped , a wave crashes on your head. Hard to breathe now Bam! another wave panic starts to set in, It's not fun. Just as some one saw my hand wave and start to run my way , my foot touched sand. I was moments from drowning. The Ocean can and will kill you.
I love teaching anyone who wants to learn as well. Yet according to traditional Chinese culture the younger women must always make the first move to learn in any setting Colin. Just saying!
THATS RIGHT WITCHES ROCK. 1998, 2006, 2014 got my surfer's ass flipped several times at the rock each time in the larger 12 to 14 ft waves. I didn't travel 2000 mile to watch the back of perfect waves from the boat. 2015 got the biggest waves 14ft just right of the river mouth and then the wind turned to offshore blowing ready hard to sea. to the boat I went. Ollies were next. smaller cove
Brittany is a great addition to the crew!
That’s quite a baptism Haley got. Big surf is no joke
Thankful that the girls are ok, one hell of an initiation to ocean life.. And Colin, talk about a bonus.! Faintly remember a few hundred $$ in ya bank account, end up with just over $ 4200. That's serendipity
I luv this show
Always treat the ocean with the greatest respect.
How do I unsubscribe? If these heroes are making programs about dangerous 3 foot sells then I’m outta here! Anything for likes and content! Lost their way and now embarrassing!
