Având cel mai mare pod de vele din lume, chiar în josul drumului, luăm velele de cap pentru câteva reparații simple. Punând-o direct la treabă, am pornit 300 de mile marine până la șantierul de ambarcațiuni de unde îl scoatem pe Nandji pentru un record mondial. După ce a stat în apă timp de un an și jumătate, fundul lui Nandji semăna cu un sistem de recif. Dacă ea vinde mâine sau peste trei luni, trebuie făcut fundul! Pe măsură ce facem în mod activ cumpărături cu barca, am văzut un Amel Mango pe piața din portul de agrement. Yes, that boat is beautiful. BUT, with everything being OG, things will only break when you're in the middle of nowhere with miles to go the get to ANY serviceable land.
I agree with you on the shower issue. Hope you find what you are looking for.
Are you considering the possibility of a cat? They are ideal for families, more floor space for "crawlers", three or four cabins, not great going upwind (trimarans do that much better) but nevertheless acceptable. Etc.
Mango a great boat guys. Our friends on Disa have just done the Arc plus in their Mango. We have a Super Maramu and the Mango though older is still a great boat that at time of design was definitely ahead of its time. Solid boats, you won’t go wrong with a well maintained Amel. ⛵️😀

Guys you can fit a shower and curtain like in the Super Maramu easily to a Mango very easily.
As for the downwind sailing setup it’s makes it possible for a mono to sail dead downwind. The twin pole setup and twin head sails with the balooner is the same on our boat it works fantastic.
Keep a look out I personally know where there is an Amel Super Maramu close to the price of that Mango, in Greece there are 2 Super Maramu’s for sale I know both boats personally.
Your videos are always interesting and full of great content. In MHO , the mono hull that would suit you both would be the Oceanis 45 to 50 ft range. 2 heads , full shower , + 3 cabins and they blue water cruisers. Thanks for sharing your videos with us.

Original and still working means that the systems were top shelf. For instance the original 34 year old FW water pump on our Amel is still in great shape as are the original furling systems. Compare that with changing modern pumps every 3 years or so. The price on this Mango however seems high since for another 50K you might be able to get a Super Maramu. Best of luck with your boat shopping.

At 51ft you definitely want 3 cabins and a shower. Keep looking and don’t compromise on what you want because you’ll only regret it later.

I think mono huls with 3 roomy cabins like the two on the Amel are rare. I suppose a charter built boat may have them. Sounds like a cat may be easier to meet that criteria.
