  1. Talking about this fire went from nothing to everything in 3 minutes flat. Just thought I would add for people to read the comments that when I was in the US Navy they sent me to flight deck firefighting School for aircraft carriers. The training was made so intense and hot that some of the other guys that were there had their slicker suits start melting in places. In the middle of this intensity is where you learn to keep control of your thought processes and do exactly what has to be done because if you don't it's over. And when it's over in the middle of the ocean it's over for a lot of people. 👀

  2. "Any excuse to show you a load of supercars". Works for me.

They should rename motor yacht Vixit to motor yacht Fixit. Just curious, how quickly do those rocks jump up in front of you? I would think it would be tectonic type speeds, and surely the charts are updated more frequently than that. :-/ I truly do not understand how this happens with a professional captain. Did they lose navigation or steerage?

Also how do these things always catch fire? Is that a design feature? There are thousands of times as many cars on the road and you hardly ever see one catch fire. You would think by now the designers of these yachts would have worked out the design gotchas.

  3. I would have thought a boat like that would have an automatic fire extinguisher of the Halon replacement type that operated automatically. A setup like that should quench the fire. It will also stop the engines by denying them oxygen. Even if it had to be deployed manually to avoid asphyxiating the crew, it should sound an alarm. First learning of a fire by seeing black smoke suggests a lack of safety equipment.

  4. I'm curious…can you talk about the legal and financial responsibilities for these 'incidents'? The grounding of a yacht in protected waters and a fire on-board that results in a sinking…insurance, captain's license, etc.

  5. Are you aware the channel “3 minutes of maritime” is using your videos? They have over 1 million views, and seem to be using some of your content.

  6. One think that saved my life in a fire was I had to smoke, and didn't understand why, as soon as I opened the door, knew I had a life or death problem. I got the source to the fire at the door right before if flashed over. Had I remained sleeping, I would have been dead in ten minutes. By no means a sailor, but when it happens on the water, things happens very fast. A lot of ships firefighting, might work in a good situation, but even the fails are designed to buy all vital time.

  7. can you imagine this yacht whit this shape 200 meter long, will be the most beautiful yacht in the history

  8. Let’s load a fiberglass boat up with diesel, three to four internal combustion engines, and make everything else of wood with shiny plastic finishes. What could go wrong?

  9. Do you know the origin of the word“Mayday”? It was thought up by a British pilot from Croydon International Airport, south London, in about 1921. Presumably because they started flying to France, he decided to use the French expression: M’aidez….. (French for “Help me”)

  10. My son was captain of a 120 that lit up and burned in 45 seconds in Miami. USCG question this and it was confirmed by another yachts’ cameras.
No loss of life or injuries.

  11. Love Al Lusail. She must be seen at night to appreciate her beauty. It's in my top 3 fave superyachts with number 2 being A+(formerly Topaz) and number 1 being Serene.

  12. Why is everyone so surprised at how volatile fiberglass is? It's like building houses with hazardous vinyl – cheap but dumb. Water wont put the fire out but it will sink the boat, ask me how I know.

  13. Thank you for showing my favorite mega yacht Al Lusail. While you where enjoying looking at your favorite cars I enjoyed seeing my favorite yacht!😛Again Thank you and Happy New Year!!!🤗🎈🎉🎊

  14. You ae actually able to actually speak about actual yachts which are actually interesting when actual people read the actual news about actuall yachts which are actually nothing more than actual playtoys for the actual rich guys who actually own the vessels which are actually commercial vehicles.

  15. I continue to be dumbfounded by the total lack of adequate fire suppression on these hundred million dollar yachts!! I spent most of my career in luxuary Hotels and Resorts and fire suppression was almost the number one priority. We had Halon systems for electrical, grease and oil fire suppression and high pressure water for structure fire suppression. Dry chemical fire suppersssion was used most commonly for kitchen equipment. Life safety is of number one importance to everyone concerned and we trained constantly on fire fighting and emergency evacuation procedures. We have smoke evacuation systems, automatic fire doors and curtains to contain a blaze. I could go on and on. I'm just dumb founded to see a yacht fire to even occur. I know the owners have "Money to Burn"…but really?

  16. MY Vixin is being repaired by Marine Group Boat Works in Chula Vista CA, I spotted it there last September and checked today and she's still there.
