I own a 21' Aquarius. To me this is a Cadillac but then your Cat to me is a Limo. I have been following you guys since back when you had the RV. I do love your sailing Adventures more. I wish you many more wonderful years of sailing and hope no more jet skis use you for target practice.

the Neel seems to be making a lot! of squeaky sound
Looks like that boat is a victim of poor maintenance and wrong parts.
The Neel boat is ultralight at 10.6 tons compared to catamaran charter boats almost double the weight. I would recommend examining the polar plots with standard sails or asymmetrical plots. You will see that the Neel sails at a much closer upwind angle of 30deg TWA than a catamaran at 60deg TWA. Charter catamarans are heavyweight, slow, and low wind angles. So of course, cats feel dramatically different from a performance trimaran. The Neel trimaran is almost impossible to sink or flip with so many water-tight compartments with a centered CG. Catamaran weight is in the rear of the hulls with the equipment and is easier to flip, destroy rigging, and sink. Lighter displacement means better fuel economy and longer distances.
