  1. Can anyone explain why races are shortened ? In the second race, the race was shortened when Denmark was just 100 metres from the turning into the 6th leg.

Is there a fair and reasonable explanation for reducing the exciting sailing ? More time is spent on media photo shoots and inane chit chat and interviews and not enough on the racing itself !

  2. SailGP what you do with this events is that you are ruining every interet in the circus……..Is this what you want? Eh Russel!

  3. On ya for streaming these races on YouTube! Absolutely love what SailGP has done… Fleet racing on foils at 50KTS with microphones so we hear the all the colourful language too, pure delight.

It's great to see the Aussies getting a reality check this season; one bad race for Aus and the Kiwis could be in with more than a sniff.

  4. EXAMPLE OF REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINT … That's a joke for a global circuit with all the efforts in logistics and travelling efforts for rotating crews. Publish the balance sheets … only facts count otherwise it's a big marketing stunt. But yes … for such millions heavy money mashine like the sailgp, itscall about marketing gimmicks. The show must go on.

  5. I think Spithill has lost his touch. Costly penalties and also doing an extra maneuver just to park the boat in heavy traffic. Should have split the course.

  6. Great weekends racing !! , good to see more info being provided "on screen" during the race … and inclusion of Knots vs Km/hr and also mph … also would be fun to see some of the INSIGHTS data …overlay especially during umpire decision etc ..also PLEASE give a summary of the SailGP INSPIRE racing too ..perhaps as part of the pre race info .footage/coverage … 🤘😄

  7. Jimmy Spittel needs to get off the boat. 2 over early penalties in 4 races. Major tactical mistakes. Boundry penalty, falling off the foils. The only thing he didn't do was sink the boat.

  8. Be great if all the sailors who are interested in the tactics and manoevering, rather than pretty pictures so loved by the various directors; hit the 'dislike' button until the organisers put out live overheard video so we can see course, positions and speeds.

  9. A fantastic day of racing, much more action than yesterday! Team NZ seem to have really hit their stride after a year finding their footing. But bravo Switzerland for their first win!

  10. Amazing how quick these boats are even in non foiling conditions. When the AC boats are not foiling, they are piggies. Should have kept the cats….
    .

  11. i wish they would quit apologizing for the language – what do you expect? We are so soft nowadays. USA needs to make a change…Spithill just doesn't have it anymore.

  12. Jimmy Spitthill should give someone else a chance. Since a few years ago when he made that huge comeback in the America's cup against Peter Burling – he's done nothing. Extremely poor starts in general and just making way too many mistakes. His sailing just seems immature.

  13. WHAT THE F**K IS WRONG WITH THE ORGANISERS?? How many times have I now seen them change the lenght of a race WITHIN THE LAST TWO LEGS! Is it completely impossible for them to make simple calculations? And if in doubt – be conservative? No – they will rather spoil the race later on a minute or two before the finish: "Uhhh…., sorry sailors – we miscalculated again…. we will now only do 6 legs. Yes uhhhh…. we know it's the fifth leg now…, but – tea time is comin up and we don't really give a hoot about your on course strategies. Yea! – next time remember to factor in the organisers stupidity…"

  14. It's totally ridiculous. Hour and a half of coverage with an absolute maximum of 45 minutes of racing. Tv be dammed- plenty of pointless fluff could be trimmed in favour of what we are all here to watch.

  15. It's great that sail GP is available on YouTube.
Disappointed that the portrait of the overall winner is plastered all over the screen before I watch a single second of racing. No point watching if I know who is going to win
