I have a suggestion…. you say you don't have time to grab a camera when things get crazy on board, how about while you're building your new boat, you could install a 360 camera at the top of the mast, that has a power cable, and a cable so you turn on, off and download the footage from inside the cabin when and where you want, then if you see rough weather coming in, just turn in on and let in run for however long you want, maybe you use the footage maybe not, but it will be there ready for if you do, also it could be a cool way to capture some nice cinematic shots!
