17. I thought you might be interested to learn that the yacht phi, which is pronounced fee is actually the word that indicates the golden ratio. If you look up Golden ratio, which is 1 to 1.6, you will see how interesting it is. This is also known as the Fibonacci ratio. Many many things in nature follow this ratio of 1 to 1.6. 22. I had my first super yacht this fall in Nassau.
    We saw the motor yacht Infinity which is apparently owned by the founder of Harbor Freight Tools.
    We were on deck 9 on our cruise ship and we’re about the same level as the bridge of that yacht.
    It was HUUUGE.

27. There is no perfect solution about locating the bridge house. It has to be where the bridgetender can see the bridge and the canal and boats coming and going. Maybe the answer would be requiring yachts to have a pilot to enter or leave the lagoon.

33. It’s not just the bridge that is a problem. To starboard just after the bridge is the Sint Maarten Yacht Club that also has been hit. Then you have a choice to turn to port or go straight to marina accommodations. If you choose to go straight, the first marina is right close on your right side. The next marina for big boats is on the other side of the lagoon. Be careful on your approach as if you go too far to the left you will run aground. I’ve seen boats hit the bridge, the yacht club, and run aground.
