Bonita, I hope you get to source some nice cushions for yacht, set up a sweet birth for Tahlula, bring in your own sunshine of taste. I don’t suggest this bc of another boat currently, I’ve always done this on my own, it makes it more comfortable, homely, and when your not cleaning you could be sewing, Just kidding, ❤ take advantage of Asian product and fabrics etc. Well done.

Sodium carbonate is a great “salt” that in small concentration can kill and disassemble mold and it’s spores! Also, if you guys have any toxicity symptoms, chlorella (a supplement made of special algae) can help remove the bio toxins mold can release! It is available at most health food stores! The mold salt, you may have to buy online, it will prevent future mold as long as it remains mostly dry. Its called “concrobium” in America and it’s active ingredient I mentioned 🙂

Looks like the asians built it with indoor plywood. Have never seen outdoor or marine grade delaminate like that. I have built a few plywood boats and 20 years on, theyre still perfectly sound. Interesting. Hope there is no more delaminated plywood and rot. Hard work in the tropics for you
If the water tank was no good at all , you could always choose to cut the top open and put a bladder tank inside the metal tank.

I don't own a boat and I don't know how to sail but I live out my dreams by watching you tube channels such as yours. Put a few smaller tanks in , easier to replace and if one leaks you won't lose all of your water.
Really important to be able to inspect tanks and totally remove them for either replacement or repairs if possible. I would not trust epoxy for fixing the leak permanently, if you are in a location for a longer time you could bring in a professional welder and he could put a plate on that spot that is rusted.

Maybe cut that big tank our, replace with four smaller ones that will be easier to remove in the future. Do you need such a big tank anyway, with watermakers being a reliable option now.

Our T52 (1990) had stainless water tanks and black iron fuel tanks – original. I had a water leak which turned out to be around a weld on a seam. It almost looked like a pinhole under welding flux. There weren’t enough inspection hatches so added another 2 and used thickened epoxy on the inside of the tank.
Uncle is awesome. He always seems like he's there for you guys.
