  1. So well done, you really captured the natural light and scenery of the ICW so well there in North Carolina! It seems the electric propulsion is well suited to ICW cruising, given a bit of wind here and there. It must be so nice to be able to hear the sound of the environment and not the rattle of a diesel.

  5. Question off topic of your video. I just purchased a Morgan Out Island 41 and like a lot of boat videos I have watched it has a Dodger/benemy. It concerns me in that when I am sitting at the helm I can not see the sails in order to trim them properly. How to resolve this short of ripping off the hard digger/benemy.

    There's so much involved with these motors and controllers and MPPT systems. When does the speed controller change between constant voltage or constant current and frequency alternating.
    In a DC circuit, 1 VA is the equivalent of 1 W. This equivalence means that the power factor of that power supply is 1.
    In this circuit, the power P (in watts) is equal to the product of the voltage V (in volts) and the current I (in amperes).
    This straightforward equation is represented as the following:
    Pdc = VA = Vdc x Idc
    So we're cruising along at something like 52 volt amps with 347 VA. Plenty of volt amps to spare.

  8. Love the atmosphere of the ICW. Long time ago, I lived on Indian River Drive in Port Saint Lucie. We we head out… it will be 350 miles of the Erie Canal and then we will be on the ICW to Florida.
    I been thinking about and comparing your electric numbers with my project and I'm pretty sure you dont have 9600 kw. Electric cars are around 50 -100kw.
