Se dovedește a fi incredibil de dificil să scoți acest rezervor dezgustător de apă uzată din imensa noastră navă. Deci suntem noi împotriva unui rezervor plin de rahat. Sorry to say that, but you guys don’t look confortable with manual tools 🛠
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Somebody needs to teach the young guy how to use a ring spanner on another spanner it makes the job easier 👍👍
I agree with you. The journey is not the end of the journey only. Its all the knowledge, skills and self belief becoming an internal assurance of being able to meet the challenges thrown at you.
9”angle grinder comes to mind when cutting steel ❤
That was some excellent garden compost you shoveled out of that tank 😀 keep up the great work.
Barbara if there was ever a trophy for the hardest working woman you would get it! In fact both of you deserve a trophy. That poop tank was quite a task.. Kudos to you both. :o)
Wow! Great job 👏
And thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Cherrs from Brazil!!🇧🇷
I am wondering how much lighter the boat will be with all the stuff you guys have removed. I would think the boat will be better for sailing, but more important is how well you guys work together, and are an inspiration to married people. Thank you so much. keep up the good work. Miguel from Boston.
Black Water Tanks on Nuclear Subs were big *fun*, and massive things…you could walk around inside them. I never had to, I was too big to get through the access, so I Tankwatched, but those guys wore Dry Suits when they went in them things, Air-Fed Respirators and 22,000PSI Pressure Washers, get 'em cleaned, then the real fun started, needle gunning all that old Epoxy out…talk about a "Dirty Job"? Don't think even Mike Rowe would go in a Nuke Black Water…ah, memories…
Why did you not wear a Mast that is a Health and safety issue
You cannot build a new ship with history. Well said 👏
I think a plasma cutter would be more beneficial and much faster. It also would become handy down the road.
Kudos to Barbara.
I have always been overwhelmed by smells. Even cleaning the cat box was problematic. It's worse since I had chemo. As a result, I find that I enjoy cooking a lot more, so I guess there's a positive in it, but I almost envy the ability to edit out the olfactory sense.
Given the amount of work involved in removing the "shit tank," I'm sure I would choose a composting system.
I love the way you name a bunch of video channels that I already watch. Most of those have been part of my 'education' when I couldn't really do much else but watch. Great entertainment, and good food for thought about how I might approach those same problems.
I would have to rip out everything down there and just start over.
A blow torch would cut the metal much faster and easier than the angle grinder.
Absolute heroes, the final boat will be wonderful for you and guests. Lovely music, dialogue and editing
If I can suggest .. Don't do that with your angle grinder, you will damage the rotation blocker, it's a simple pin that blocks the disk rotor, it's not made for that, at all !
I took German decades ago in high school, and although it's not a good translation, whenever I see "Scheepwerf," all my eyes can see is "sheep thrower" and it's hilarious.
I am so sorry for your nose, but very glad we don't have smell a vision yet. Keep up the good work.
Get a plasma torch. In the time saved and less consumable costs it will easily pay for itself. My rig was less than $500 for the torch and air compressor and will cut up to 1/4".
Thank you for your efforts
Very ambitious project! Good luck. Looking forward to watching the progress!
there might be a little rust here and there.
When i was 18 i worked on an old wooden tug boat she was 60 feet long with a Caterpillar engine . The main shaft rested on a iron wood carrier block one of my many jobs was to make sure that the oiler system was always in working order .I was also the electrician , mechanic and first mate and deck hand and all around Mr fix it guy .In short i did every thing from tying on to the loads we pulled being barge or raft to final drop and anchor .The only thing i did not do was steer the tug ..Throughout your post i watched today you had me smiling and out right laughing .At the ending you explained why you wanted to do all of this and with this boat ,you 2 and i think a lot alike right down to our sense of humor . Until next time Take a moment for yourselves and have a glass of wine You deserve it .
Every woman is a super woman but Barbara is a super, super woman.
Barbara needs a pay rise!
You've chosen to live a life with passion, and your sailing home will be the best place to live. Why would you chose anything else?
Great work. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
100 years of sh+t in the holding tank. You could have invited a team of archaeologist to clean it out. I love your vlog and wish you luck but all said and done I would not want to go past the harbour entrance once you have finished. Please make sure you have a good lifeboat ready to launch at any moment.
A project boat never makes sense but that's not the point. You enjoy the work while we enjoy the watching 🏴☠️😀
I spend most of my time watching your video's chuckling to myself, I will continue to watch them for this reason alone. Great work and I do hope the work on your boat gets easier😁
I could smell those last 2 vids through my laptop while drinking a cider! You are a WonderWoman Barbara! Luv ya work!
i do think your Ship philosophy is right on the mark you can't buy a new ship with history plus they are never the way you really want them in the layout unless you spend millions Fling coney is yours and she has a lot of history and your both young and fitt enough to carry out most of the work required on her plus yo will be able to build her the way you want it to look and restyle the inside to your requirements and comfort and I bet she will look splendid when you have finished her plus its really enjoyed watching you guys rebuild her to her glory days and learning on the way on how to rebuild a ship of her size and yes she is well worth refitting as a bit of rust can always be removed and replaced with shinny new metal and another hundred years of use you will get out of her so yes you will have your downs but you will get a lot more ups than downs once you have got to the complete strip out of her then the only way is up and the fun begins rebuilding her yes stripping out is tedious but worth it then the fun of painting and fitting all the new items she requires all the rewiring plumbing heating insulation before you start on the cabins your plan will be able to be drawn once she is stripped out to the hull so you can see where all the structure beams are to attach all the floors to and the cabins and comfort areas can start to be built maybe changing out the portholes to something modern or just re building them to keep her standard that's all up to you so much to think about but it will be fun.so all the best great video once again thumbs up for Me everytime bye from John from Rugby UK.
You’ll never be more intimate with a vessel, then one you have stripped down and rebuilt! Anyone who says it’s easier to build new has never built a boat.
