  3. In episode 121, 6 minutes and 18 seconds in, you get a great shot of (one of the two) fairlead block utilized in the selfsteering configuration. Can anyone tell me who makes them and what they are called? I have asked many riggers on the east coast USA, none of which could tell me.

I've got an 11ft hard, sailable dingy a lot like yours…and "experienced" off-shore sailors kept telling me I can't take that cruising with me…but I love it…I don't really want to get rid of it for an inflatable….but I have to admit I haven't sailed off shore towing it….just coastal….never been a drag or a problem though…just pay out enough line to sync it with wave frequency…i.e. on the crest or back side of the wave behind me. What's been your experience (and advice)?

  13. Hi Matt and Amy, Its good to see you again. The lovely young couple from UK circumnavigating the world on a 37 footer by the name of "Florence". As always stunning views from that Caribbean paradise called Tobago Cay. I particularly love the nuties from those islands as well as the tortoises and manta rays caught by your camera, not to mention the crystal clear waters from that area you dropped anchor.   15. As a fairly recent discoverer of Sailing Florence I have been binge watching the back catalogue. Quite extraordinary! I congratulate you on your decision to keep the monohull but as a resident of northern Scotland I wonder how those plans will pan out. No swimming with turtles here! Big tides in Orkney, less so in Shetland but sitting in a cockpit going upwind is bitter until early July. I am able to drive home for a hot bath after sailing -you wouldn't be able to do that. It's a bit warmer but a lot wetter on the West Coast. I love the fact that you sail your dinghy for pleasure – it has been said that the pleasure you get from a boat is inversely proportional to its waterline length. I have a 14ft trimaran which I sail for thrills, a Phantom which I race and a 22ft cruiser which I sail a bit further out to sea to feel the waves and occasionally sleep aboard. If you are ever passing Findhorn (near Inverness) do drop in!

  19. Have you guys given thought to some sort of product? A guide of some sort, a cookbook, a collection of short stories, some sort of "online" program /product people can buy to earn you passive income while you're sailing. Just a thought, I'm sure you guys have.a LOT to offer after all your travel experiences! Best
