  1. The idea of sail drives is nice but the thought of clipping them on something is terrifying. The way they hang low like that and the huge opening for the lower section would spell disaster if it ever hit a reef or something. I am sure the keel would hit it first but still a thought.

  2. A it of an exciting passage. Thank goodness your furler hadn't jammed again like it did on the way to Fiji. Did you ever find out for sure what that black stuff was?

  3. Beautiful vblog
Amazing colours on all the fishing vessel
That storm was similar to our cyclone 🌀
But ours was 2 days worth 😌 😪
Thank goodness you got out of the fishing line tangle that would of been a scary experience 😳 😬
Amazing how much plastic is in the ocean
    Take care
    Cheers from the Tron team 👍 👏 🙌 👌 😎 😀

  4. i think the sky is welcoming you guys to Java…with lightning display…raindrops keep falling on my head, …da..da..da because i am free nothing worrying me? black tar balls leftover from leaking oil rigs… brilliant idea to catch these tar balls n refine them into diesel…strange how you feel like an alien? first of all you bought Javelot from ? then christianed it as Crusising Kiwis but flying a Malaysian flag with the robinson crusoe family tagging along…yea that qualified you as alien…amazing effort by Finn but what the people are not aware – he has your 50% rowing gene…plus tenacity plus determination plus diligence plus persistence and never die attitude….that is the secret ingredient which will parlay him standing on podiums with lots of gold bling bling medals hanging on his neck…

  5. Great to see Whale Sharks. Hopefully they can steer clear of the pollution!!!
Hope you can sort the cooling system leak out. Yep, lots of plastic in the water up that way.
Well done Finn. You are going so well. Keep it up mate!! 👍

  6. It is always so disappointing to sea so much trash floating in the water, not to mention that oily substance. When will people learn? A great episode, so much going on.

  7. Great video, distressing to see that oily stuff in the water , good on you for investigating. Good news about Finn doing so well. Thanks for postiing.

  8. You guys are making an old man older but that's ok so long as you all are ok and congratulations to Finn. Take care everyone and stay safe!

  9. Rachel there are rarely pure oil or gas wells, as all wells generally make a mix of oil & gas. Even an old well on a pump jack will make a little gas. Of course oil & gas have been seeping out of the ocean since the beginning of time. When De Soto discovered the mouth of the Mississippi River he wrote in his ships log, "found pitch at on a sand bar & used it to repair worm holes in the ship." Kind of like Rob using pitch to fix a leaking water hose.

  10. Loved the footage from Sydney Harbour too.
As a newcomer to your channel bingeing my way from Episode 1, I hadn't seen this before. (The back catalogue has episode 110 in Airlie Beach and 111 in Bunbury. Had assumed a vlogging hiatus for the bottom right hand corner, but are there maybe other episodes for NSW, Vic and the Bight?)

  11. G'day guys. Love seeing that whale shark footage. This comment I believe is a direct quote from John Fairfax to Sylvia Cook mid Pacific. So I'm sending it on to you people. "The most important thing you have with you, is the sea. Without it, you're sunk."!! And these Dad jokes, can get worse. As usual, loving the content. Thank-you for the upload and sharing. Take care people. Atb from down under.

  12. Flounder you guys again bloody you tube have you tried super glue with a small amount of path to fix the hose I do it with car pipes good luck aye

  13. Fantastic episode once again. The whale sharks, majestic. The wildly colored boats, psychedelic. The engine repairs, brilliant, and lastly, all the trash and plosions in our oceans because of humans, disgusting. PS Big congrats to Finn for a fine second place with his rowing. Stay safe and stay groovy everyone.

  14. The hose incident is the perfect example. It should not have happened but it did! Walking bare foot isn't dangerous but you could cut yourself !!!!!!! 🤔😑

  15. You should not have handled the unknown substance bare handed. You all seem to look for ways to injure yourselves or is it me just being over cautious?

  16. Stunning to see whale sharks again, how sad is the Indo waterways. 😭Asia has a sad extreme overuse of single-use plastics, little plastic baggies of food or even drinks in little baggies, then that's placed in bigger baggies, and then all the little baggies in their final bag. Well done again Finn. Rob, I know this is from Dec, could you have used one of those heat shrink tubes over that hose?

  17. What an incredible video especially the Whale Sharks. Happy to hear Finn is doing well and I send my best wishes to him. Subscribers are going up YEAH !!. Must be the shorts, they are brilliant. Nice to see some mechanics being done also. Wow what a storm to I would have been really frightened by that. Keep well and safe. James.
