Lots of opsec, no reason to break it. If the vessel isn't already in the news. I like to take photos, just don't publish them. We have a unique perspective. I am in full view of loading. Imagine this is something problematic if I published. I don't even publish identifiable boat locations frequently of my boat or others that are non-transient anchor outs. Good for you to observe respect on operational vessels.
Glad you got to experience Sunset Thursdays — those are always so much fun! Portsmouth often ends up in the shadow of "big sister" Norfolk, but there is some fun stuff here. I can tell by the band that was playing that you came through during a week that I was out of town — dang. Would have loved to have been able to show you around.

As a former U. S. Navy officer I'm not sure what harm it would have done to film docked warships. Anyone can walk up to the pier and take photos or video, including spies. We do it. They do it. Happens all the time. Great video, btw.

OMG! I am so glad that you are transitioning from ICW to sailing. I cannot imagine myself choosing to take the ICW when the Gulf and Atlantic are so available. But I don't like people, aligators, snakes, marsh life. The open water is so much more comforting.
So what are your most favorite spots on the ICW?… Like top 3…
Great Bridge Battlefield has a nice museum where you tied up at waiting for the bridge. It also contains displays on the waterway. It is fun go to.

So cool, I agree with Herbie that it's far better to slow down and experience Nature rather than blast over to the next bridge. Also I've said it before but it bears repeating, Wisdom is a gorgeous sailboat, tied up to the side she looks fast just standing still! LOL'd at Charlie bird screaming out her warning to any bull sharks in the waters there 😂
Hey guys. Love your videos. For one thing it was close to home. When you guys said mosquitoes I said must be at Hobucken, NC and sure enough I saw y'all go thru there with he shrimp boats in the background and going under the bridge by the coast guard station. I know all bout those squitters. My dogs winned one night when flounder gigging so bad. So I sprayed them with OFF. I see y'all said not filming The naval area. Not a big deal. Yall coulda done that. Public knowledge, but it's ok
