What a pretty lady and with such a way with words, Giulia! I am following several of the sailing channels found on YouTube, but I find that you and Maya on have some things in common. You're both gorgeous, young women who are not American and speak English with a lilting accents: yours Italian and Maya's Canadian. Both of you are sailing with European men.
Both of you wax philosophical in your narrations, but you do to a greater extent than she. I'm quite impressed with your facility with our language and the depth of your thought. You speak English better than many college-educated Americans! I appreciate your references to mythology. Sadly, neither you nor Maya appears to be a Christian, but that is the trend in Europe and North America, so there's nothing unusual there. Who knows how much deeper your encounter with the ocean might be if you were?
I am refitting my fourth keelboat, a thirty-foot blue-water cruiser for jaunts around our Hawaiian islands with my children and grandchildren. The sailing here is normally white-knuckled, but that's how I like it, and the views are spectacular. Aloha!
