Have not seen you guys for ages, epic!
Extremely knowledgeable. Love it
Each ditch kit I always recommend the small laser signaler light, the simple cheap Chinese green laser designed for a gun application or the high powered pointers, often dubbed the 100mile pointer. Specifically the over legal powered cheap Chinese lights because they can project a beam many many Km's, for less then $50, they are a cheap item.
Just always like to see what you guys are up to. Being prepared for whatever life gives you is always hard but you do what you can to survive it. Common sense and preparedness could save you or your family's life. Well done guys.
we need more videos like this! To learn something useful.
That plastic blue water thingy is not suitable. Put out a low profile small saucer and put some tiny rocks into it and fill with water. They can drown easily and the rocks enhance the smell of water. Dry mince meat and feed him tiny bits each day. Starting by putting out tiny bit and add till once he feed there is left overs. that gives idea how much each day. Or better, built him a little nature environment in a bigger plate, with larger rocks that can absorb heat during the day to keep him/her warm during night. They can take care of flies and mosquito,s better then anything else. To make sure they get all the nutrition , drip once or twice a week codliver oil over some of the dried mince you put out.
Why is throwing up overboard bad? I really enjoyed the video. Hope I never have to use these skills.
Like the laser, something I will be adding. I noticed your kits were very at sea survival oriented, however there is potential to abandonship and reach land (for instance fire at anchor at remote island)…….so I would pack a survival knife, couple of bic lighters wrapped with wax impregnated jute and gaffa tape and zip tie locking gas pedal, a titanium single walled water botle with nesting titanium cup (to help puriify water over fire….could get fancy and add a prepared coil of copper pipe with fitting for lid to construct a rudimentary still……or even carry a portable manual desalinator), a few hanks of cordage and finally a couple of buffs.
I also like having a head torch as one of the emergency lighting options.
A lot of you gear is separated in clear zip lock bags, which is a great light weight water resistant option however it might be useful to also have some of your gear in a colourful dry bag or two (easily identifyable in a mess of plastic bags)
One thing I didn't hear mentioned is a purification/desalination straw/filter to help obtaining fresh water if you run out or with giardia or other microscopic organisms if using a questionable water source once you find land.
A good one🏋🏻♀️🤟🏋🏻♀️
You guys rock
I'm top of the head hair impaired, don't want to get sunburned 😁 How about a large fluorescent floppy hats, one size fits all in the kit, sunglasses, high SPF sun lotion, lip balm. Love the video, I mentally try and place myself in that life-saving situation.
Wonderful information!!! Thanks!!!!
Astroglide. It gets mighty dry out there! It also helps with morale!
Perhaps just one food item like restaurant packs of saltines to fill in the corners of the ditch bag…might help settle the stomach?
To be honest, I just really like the vibe you guys give off! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. <3 😉
Another great installment of the Levinsons!! though Ryan, at the beggining of this you said you were going to be drilling Nicole.. did not see that part 🙂
Have a shorty spear gun in the greenish bag. Game changer. Fish will hang out under your raft.
I didn’t hear about raft repair stuff and a,pump. Knives with lanyards. Medical kit with sutures etc. heavy cotton work gloves two pair.
