Câinele nostru NE SUB CONTROL ne provoacă PROBLEME cu doar câteva ore înainte de a naviga la 2000 nm. Whist în Capul Verde ne conectăm cu @SVCUBA, pe care îl vom merge cu BUDDY BOAT în TRAVERSA OCEANĂ. Vedem Africa și ne dăm seama că cu siguranță NU suntem în Europa. Ce loc uimitor de colorat este Capul Verde. Vederile, sunetele și mirosurile sunt foarte diferite de ceea ce am experimentat înainte. Cel mai bine este că am găsit SV CUBA, care se dovedește. să fim la fel de nebuni ca noi. Nu vom petrece mult timp în Insulele Capului Verde, dar cât timp suntem aici trebuie să ne aprovizionăm cu produse perisabile și trebuie să reparăm Genova și de data aceasta să remediem sursa problemei. Găsim cea mai uimitoare plajă unde sperăm să vedem țestoase, deși aceasta nu se dovedește a fi după-amiaza la care ne așteptăm, privim și vedem de ce. We use one of those ascenders attached to a climbing harness as a secondary safety when mast climbing. When I'm either climbing down or Kate lowers me I don't open the ascender right up and lock it open I just pull it back against the spring with my thumb so that if the primary line does break or Kate loses control of me for some reason then the safety will just grab back on. We have a video of how I climb with the ATN mastclimber from before we even started making proper episodes… It doesnt really show the descent but anyway the ascender used as a secondary safety is a good bit of kit. I like that you have a leg loop on it at well which is a good idea for getting up above the masthead…I might steal that! Cheers
