  1. Hey! I just love you guys! Such an amazing trip. Thank you for all your hard work making videos and taking me with you.. I can't believe that you are in the Atlantic! Wow…. Hope town!! Hope the refit isn't to bad.. Best to you all. Peace and love Rolfie

  2. Been watching you guys for a couple of years now and so cool that you making this video on the same beach I call home. Hope South Africa treats you kindly. Welcome!

  3. Canadians are even polite to the circumstances they encounter. Who knew? I will encounter Canadian tourists everywhere I go on this planet. See allot of Canada in Las Vegas today.

You chose wisely heading to South Africa instead of the Suez Canal. Both options stunk as the two routes leaving the Indian Ocean suck. Least favorite things I have done on this planet. No doubt you will soon begin to second guess yourselves. The refit will be traumatic. One look into either of your kids eyes should make you feel better every day.

Rest up and eat bunny chow until it's coming out your ears. Or leave the cosmetic stuff for later. Never mind the Caribbean. Your window to cross the Atlantic is closing fast. Steering is the most important. But you have plenty of ways to compensate if you lose it. Engines, and drive train you will need pounding up the Angola coastline. Plenty windless hours cutting across the Atlantic.

  4. You folks rounded the cape of good hope, (a most treacherous area, this speaks to your mariner skills for sure) WOW! CONGRATS YOU CRAZY SWEET CANADIANS!

  5. You guys are amazing! I've following your adventures way before you had kids, and really admire your positive attitudes, even in the worst moments! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing the good, the bad, the ugly and all the extraordinary!

  6. Hi Interested to know why you guys are not heading up from there to visit west Africa and on up for maybe the Mediterranean and Northern Europe?

  7. “It’s really cold…it went down to 15 C!” “15! Oh, man!”

Ha! Careful, folks! If you think 15C is cold, you might have to give up your 🇨🇦 cards!

    Congratulations on reaching the Cape!

  8. Cape Town V& A is such a nice base. We stayed there over a year ago now. Southern ropes is such a nice rope shop in Cape Town. I never dreamed I could be so in awe with a rope shop 😂. Associated Rigging Warren and is team will sort out your needs and in fact we are using him to ship rigging for us to Lankawi in the next month or so. Lovely reminders Cape Town is for me in particular as my daughter lives there . Enjoy it guys

  9. Canadians PFFF i understands…….lol you do not live in reality. S. Africa is a genocidal shit hole after the Scotts and aspartate were scuttled, YOU ABSOLUTE MORONS in the kill whitey fields and say such shit. Still love ya just stay in the tourist parts.

  10. I've thoroughly enjoyed following your story. It's been filled with the thrills and discovery of sailing around the world as well as the joys of starting a young family and watching the children come into the world and the joy of experiencing the excitement of learning about life through their young innocent eyes. I cannot think of a more fulfilling way of experiencing the last few years of your life. Thank you so much for sharing your life with the rest of us

  11. Although boat repairs are expensive and therefore drudgery it is fascinating to the viewers and also really adds the reality of what it costs to circumnavigate!

  12. I have enjoyed sailing along with y’all. Thanks for having us even if it is only through a video. I really appreciate it. From South Carolina USA

  13. When ever I hear about seals swimming off of Capetown, I can't help but think of Great Whites. Spring is in the air at Niagara Falls. Love the show with many thumbs up.!

  14. Every time I review your blog, and follow you, I see the respect, love, and commitment you guys have. Congratulations to you both. You guys have accomplished a journey not too many have done, so feel proud. Be safe, stay safe, and know you have tons of love supporting you….❤👍🏼🥂

  15. I want you guy's to Kno this …. I admire your perseverance your Moxie an the Love!! And the just go do it ness you show… !!
Your channel has gotten me thru my own rough sea!! We have been homeless since the fire Feb 28,2020… It's sailing that's saved me .. I have to say .. it's the integrity of each sailor an the unconditional love I see in the faces of strangers… That makes me appreciate all you 4 do as a team!!
You both really inspired me to not give up on myself so I could survive these 3 years in a motel .. I chose Happiness… That dang simple!! An we push forward thru it all…
But Friday almost broke me completely after all the hard work of my partner these 3 years..! My son knocked on bathroom door.. Mummy Daddy color is blue… 😳 So I go (running tripping over my not pulled up pants) in he's blue drenched is sweat… I knuckle his center chest.. I barely get a response.. our son who's on the spectrum saw his Nana die suddenly in my arms from COPD.. The look on his face.. never want to see that…
So I call 911 after doing everything to get him in position to get air.. he was shallow breathing… Paramedics get here. An because we are homeless living in a motel they assume drugs…. I remember, Ashley how inspite of complete fear an fright you kept a balance an strength…So I explained what happened I assumed he had pneumonia mixed with him still smoking ciggies an working 6 days a week…!!! They put oxygen on him… An then off to hospital… Where it was found smoking an not stopping when told almost took him away from us… He has Emphysema beginning stages… So 5 days no ciggies.. an I quit too!!
Guy's I tell you all this to tell you … The things you go thru an the thing's you say do not fall opon deaf ears… Those lesson's you've shown an the introspection it hits me .I hear you an even at 54…
I'm grateful for sailing channels..it's all I want to do again…I miss the sea…
So I've been squirreling away money for a vessel… I just want to get to Aruba…my sister an family live there……
Thanks for sharing your lives with us and inspiring us to be better…do better an see the world if only thru your camera lens. … This old salt will happily be there✌🏼💗😊⛵

    Ps.
They thought we were druggies cuz we had narcan boxes of it.. I do outreach from this rm .. I Kno all those here .. an I have been helping those I can. An in turn I'm growing an realizing I'm here for a reason…. To learn true courage an tenacity and resilience just like you guys….. ✌🏼💗😊⛵
