  1. Just finished watching. Took two mornings, breakfast, and coffee. Yes, please, I'd like to have a chicken waffle "burger". That was a lot of work you guys were doing. I like to see the real effort involved. Sandy, on the other hand, wasn't engrossed in the sailing and wants to see more of you guys and the places you visit. Be safe!

  2. Wow, I couldn't be more impressed with how you handled everything ! You guys rock mature sailing. Not sure what happened in Guatemala with your motor. The only thing I remember was the add on BMS caught fire. So, If I missed something could someone tell me whati was that I missed ?

  3. Really enjoyed this episode. As an aside… Your keto dinner of chicken and chaffles made me wonder if I'd mentioned the Dr. Perlmutter book Drop Acid on the role uric acid plays. It's the missing link in understanding metabolic syndrome. I think you two would enjoy listening to it. On Audible.

  4. From an old hand, you both are real salts. You may not always use exactly the language I would, but no matter. I give you lots of credit. You get the job done. Thanks for all your vids.

  5. I’ve been sailing for quite a while now, and no offense intended, but sometimes you guys really make things difficult for yourselves. Good luck …

  6. Wow, what a rough day, I was exhausted just watching you guys.
    Isn't it scary being out in the middle of nowhere in the pitch dark? I'd be freaking out LOL. Can you fish on a long passage or are you going to fast?
    It's really awesome following you guys, stay safe and watch out for those big ships.

  7. I think this is starting to look a little reckless. You should have a motor in case of emergency. You're not super experienced / confident, and the boat is not in perfect condition. Be careful.

  8. I feel your pain, damn outboards are so heavy, and the stern of our boats makes it almost impossible to move and do the things we need to do. I've never had to do it in as rough a condition. As I watched you struggling to balance in the dinghy and lift and maneuver the motor I truly felt for you. I just sold my 10 horse for a small electric. Just because of that right there. So light and much easier to deal with. But it wouldn't have been able to move your boat out like you did. Trade offs. There has to be a better way. If I come up with something I'll let you know. Good job and hang in there.

  9. On our cruise to Maine last year, I put together a 4-part tackle that attached to a halyard. That was a tremendous improvement over lifting our dinghy directly with the winch. You could use for both your dinghy and your motor , and would make the lift exponentially easier.

  10. Damnnnnnnn. Now that's sailing!! Brandy are you all muscle, sinew with a bit of bone thrown in just to keep you upright??!! You were at the mast and I was thinking, where the hell does all that strength come from?? She's just a tiny lady!! But you got it done!! All I could think of was 'I pity the fool that crosses her!' lol. You need to find an easier way to get your dinghy up, one in which the wind can't swing you out and off. I know it was the open ocean but when I heard Brandy say 'barely' after Beau asked 'got it', I was thinking ohhhh jeeeeeeezzzzzz this is the point of how the dinghy is going to throw her!!!! Great video you two, good luck, fair winds at your backs. Be safe.

  11. Great vid glad to SEA y’all back. Just a safety note on towing the dink – I know its a pain but you should always put the motor on its aft rail mount as when it is on the dink being towed it is really top heavy and therefore much more likely to flip if you get a sideways wave – and then you really have multiple problems!

  12. The auto pilot's new name could be anything! But I think Henrietta would be absolutely wonderful. I have enjoyed watching all of your videos for years now. Thank you for sharing your trials, tribulations and all of the absolutely wonderful times that you've had upon land and the Ocean seas.

  13. A little late to the party here. However, I believe you guys should name your new autopilot,
    "Otto" <3 ; ) R.I.P. Mr Wilson ; }

  14. Wow! That looked tough! But it did make for a great episode! Thanks for letting us see the struggle as well as how you worked through all the challenges. Having to handle this without a motor and getting it done is impressive, and the hard won skills will no doubt make you better sailors…
