Practic ți se cere să-ți conduci barca într-un buncăr îngust, ca de beton, cu o mașină gigantică planând deasupra capului. De obicei, sunt niște cauciucuri vechi și bucăți de metal ruginite care așteaptă să-ți tragă vasul în țeapă în cazul în care ceva nu merge bine. Așa că te apropii încet și, dacă ai cronometrat corect mareele, aluneci peste praștii și te oprești chiar înainte de a-ți lovi arcul în perete sau stayul în traversa mașinii (ambele sunt considerate în stare proastă 😂 ) Ca mașina strânge curele și începe să preia greutatea, este o experiență suprarealistă să te simți pe tine și cu barca ridicată din apă susținută doar de câteva curele și ace. Transportarea Delos din apă marchează sfârșitul celui de-al 11-lea sezon de navigație. Se pare că în urmă cu ATÂT DE MULT că am aruncat liniile în Shelter Bay și am început călătoria de peste 3.000 de mile de la Canalul Panama până la capătul nordic al Mării Cortez. Timpul petrecut în Oceanul Pacific a reflectat aproape ceea ce am descoperit că este adevărat despre croazieră în general – alternând între cele mai înalte maxime și cele mai scăzute, uneori chiar simultan. Deși am avut niște provocări destul de mari în această perioadă (uraganele, otrăvirea cu Salmonella și, practic, toată coasta Costa Rica-ului îmi vine în minte), în general, a fost un sezon destul de special și de neuitat pentru noi și doar să văd cât de mult a crescut Sierra. și dezvoltat în acest timp este destul de uluitor! Dar este grozav să închidem un alt capitol și să facem loc unui nou captivant în timp ce ne pregătim să traversăm Oceanul Pacific din nou! It’s amazing ! We sailed the sea of Cortez for years in the 80s and never had flies or bees. We did have a very bad experience one night with no seems, which drove us out to sea in the middle of the night. I don’t understand what has changed in the environment!

Very nice to trip in and see what’s up with the Delos and it’s crew. I experienced a great warm feeling similar to what had grabbed me and held me in, binging episode after episode and more! You put your plumbing tape on backwards, ( time stamp 4.50 ), that will cause leaks and plumbing tape contamination throughout your systems because, the tape unwraps as apposed to wrapping tighter when you screw the pipe in.

Bingewatching delos from beginning to end is what got me through my intense grieving…..you gave me hope, joy, light in the darkness and transported me to other lands.
