Like that bit of guitar at the end
The phone a friend flywheel trick was genius. 👏 The grocery carts look like Aldi carts. If so, good grocery prices. Thanks for sharing. BTW, thanks for deleting the scam replies to the comments.👍
Many thanks great sailing and interesting content ……you 2 are very entertaining and I also love the way the chores are equally shared out…..take care
Great viewing as always well done guys
Since you stopped inn at Rocky Bay did you have to check in or are you allowed to drop anchor for a rest in between islands legally?
Fascinating and insightful. The water looks so blue.
Good to see that you found a safe and economical place to stop for your provisioning. That is quite a task , all the planning and creative use of storage space onboard Florence. I'm looking out the window at the foot of snow on the ground here in Wisconsin and wishing for some warm tropical sun!
Beautiful and informative video production of real life aboard, I thought the update on safety in various ports was perfect.
I’ve shopped at that supermarket just when Covid hit. Then a few days later we were locked out of all the French islands and had to beat a hasty retreat back to Grenada which stayed open for a while.
Only watch two sailing shows ut this is my favorite. Thanks guys
Great video. You make grocery shopping interesting.
I am a little sad about your journey ending. I've watched your videos from the time you set off across the Indian Ocean toward Seychelles. Excellent content! Thank you!
Great video again. Inspiring to see how far you have come now. Looking forward to see your adventures up north next year 😊
At least mention the name of the website that lists the crimes. Why not be usefull?
Sailing is all weathers all points of sail. If you love sailing up wind down wind beam reach, who cares your sailing. To much wind, to little your on the best place to be the sea. Mind keep the stick up and the people inside. I hate shopping.
Love the shots from behind the boat while underway. Gives a very realistic view of speed, boat angle and sea state. Best sailing utube channel by far. Fair winds to you both.
Sucks that you have to skip beautiful islands because of how they treat cruisers. Seems like there is nowhere to go and be safe on the hook anymore.
Really enjoyed the shopping clip.
Fun!
You guys are my heros. I am just following along on my boat a couple years behind, and picking up a lot of good tips from truly real cruisers. I see you were hand steering close-hauled. Did your Airies pack it in?…Great production value and content as always…KIm Philley of SV Philiosophy currently in Bali Indonesia…..Cheers
Got chills from those comments! I found you via a comment on the 40 best YT channels (by subscribers) one guy mentioned 'while those are the most viewed Sailing Florence is by far the best' and I had to search for you!
Truly you are the best, true and real, and the production of your videos is better than most Netflix series! Thank you for sharing yourselves with the world, we need more humans like you guys! 🌍
Wow the 150th episode, what a journey!!!
Congrats! Your film making skill has developed, and is just amazing!! Thx for sharing!
All those provisions and all those repairs and Matt got a haircut too! Amy, a little tougher to tell, but I hope you took some time, as well.
We are part way through our own circumnavigation and, yet again, you 'raise the bar' . This time on how to plan and provision. We have seen comments in previous episodes on how expensive certain foods are in certain areas. If you want another project, how about writing that all up, together with recipes for the food you can source locally? I think a book focused on how to provision and eat on a boat based on available food would be a winner. We would certainly buy one.
You're in for a surprise when you hit the UK. Prices of food in the UK are absolutely ridiculous. My milk has gone up from £1.00 to £1.65, bacon from £2.35 to £3.30 as examples
I wish I could have made it to do that shopping, but I don't feel I missed out on that upwind sailing.
Florence in motion, beautiful, excellent video, knowledge shared, thank you for taking us along.
UK 225gm real coffee £3.50 is cheap now for a known brand like Taylors. Martinique is probably cheaper than here now.
Wouldn't you have been better to sail on the eastern side of the islands as to not run out of wind between the islands ?
I saw chocolate paste…! 16:24
Epic video! Thank you!
You guys Rock! Love your videos
You two are absolutely amazing at engaging with us followers you have made us feel as one of the crew on this epic adventure around the world 👍👍
G-flex epoxy! That and maybe some Nylon or other fibers that are relatively flexible. Maybe some chopped strand line. Stiffer fiber is probably fine too.
Or 5200.
Fabulous footage of Florence blasting thru the waves! Your choice of musical score was spot on and just enough. Another brilliant adventure with YouTube's no frills sailing couple. THIS is how it's done!!! 💙
Beautiful filming – both the boat slicing the water and the islands in the distance!
You bring back great memories of a decade of winter sailing in the Caribbean. Bequia, Tobago Cays and Martinique were favorite haunts. In those days the Tobago Cays had no moorings and folks just anchored there to their heart's content. We would load up with provisions in Trinidad at the start of the season and restock in Marin mid season.
Marin is the only place we found with a first-world grocery store a short walk from the dinghy dock. Once provisioned, the outer anchorage off St. Anne is a much nicer place to hang on the hook.
Don't come back. It is crazy in the UK. Keep sailing.
By far the best quality sailing videos out there.. at least a Documentary quality feel to it.. what an incredible journey.. Once again brilliant filming, congratulations on your finale leg being in touching distance 👏 💙
nice Video
♥️♥️🥰🥰
Coffee=Dominican Republic.
Fantastic as always
What make is your dingy ?? 0:11
I sailed in the Caribbean in 1974 and could relate to your provisioning issues. We stored a lot of our canned goods in the bilge. We removed all of the paper labels and marked the cans with a permanent marker since the moist conditions in the bilge cause all the labels to come off. Also I was sorry you couldn’t stop at the anchorage between the pitons in St Lucia it is not comfortable but very memorable since you bring a stern line to the beach and tie it to a palm tree.
Real sailors indeed! Reef down, staysail trimmed, buckle up and charge upwind! Real sailors. Love it! ❤
So what youtube sailors have "run out of food" for drama? I don't watch all his videos, but I'd imagine Plukky legitimately runs out of food once a week or so. But he also seems like the type that's gonna get hit with every imaginable disaster… and haven't we all met folks like that with or without youtube channels?
As always excellent content and photos. Thanks. SV Brooklyn PNW
When you stop enroute, how do you deal with clearing in and out of places like st. Lucia in a hurry? Or did you just drop the hook and bolt in the morning?
