  1. Rick, I know you like the freedom sailing live aboard lifestyle and good for you and family……..Please,please go ashore and get your throat/voice box looked at.X-ray,MRI,Sauna-gram etc…Not to scare you but you have the same voice symptoms my mother did before they discovered she had cancer in her vocal cords..They discovered hers by accident during a dental procedure. After surgery, treatment, and artificial vocal cord mom lived another 25 years..

  2. I hired a translator 18 years ago and married her 3 years later. Still going strong. It's certainly a blessing traveling with someone who has a gift for languages.

  3. Thanks for this latest episode sad to see the old crew depart still good to see you sailing. Looking forward to next week.

  4. Ahoj, Captain. I have enjoyed watching your high quality video. BTW, does the the Starlink work on the boat even when its moving?

  5. The native Islander's must have a pretty good life being able to not only live off of the land, and the sea, but also selling their goods to adventurers. No wonder they are so content just staying put. Thanks again you guy's for showing us this Paradise!!

  6. Captain Rick how does the LG A/C been doing for you, corrosion, power usage through the night. I imagine with the new alternators you can Top off your energy in just an hour of engine running at 1800 Rpm. What do you burn in one hour with that load and RPM, I assume that is your Charging RPM, yes know your solar but days when you do not get enough sun, and already motoring. Know it is allot of questions but doing a major refit, and decisions too make..

  7. That Tall Ship is being used like a party boat, they bring large groups out. Quite huge parties on that boat ! I think Richie just wants to get off the boat and run around in the sand with bare feet.

  8. It's always amazing to see a kid take his/her first steps but could you imagine learning to walk on the deck of a sailboat while underway 😂❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🤠

  9. Hahaha 😄 I'm going to Lisbon next week, Cap'n Rick, after living on the hard for a year in Astoria and refitting everything stainless, pulled the mast for new some repairs and cordage, new keel nut and torqued, bottom paint, replace a boat sinker new chain a repaired windlass I didn't have time for all the anti skid until the weather went shi**y and the graveyard forced me back up river where it's been a whopping 45 maybe, and over 60% humanity. Hopefully, when I get back from Portugal, I'll finish enough to stay on a ball in Santa Barbara. Thanks for the Babel info. I'm going to check it out.

  10. 22:20 Hi🖐🏼. Captain you have a helpful & economic Lady👍🏻if it was you at that food purchase the price will be much higher…

  11. Great episode, as usual!
Do you often find that on-the-water local vendors adjust their price boat by boat? I often get that feeling.

  12. Rick, with Maddie and little monster Ricci by your side, and your beautiful boat – wait, it's Maddie, that's beautiful! You remind me of a happily retired airline pilot!! Doing what you love and live to do! 🌺🌺🌺

  13. Now Captain you can say what you want the mega yacht is quite handsome will be nice and we'll give them that tall ship possesses Beauty Beyond words (it's a hand down gimme)

  14. I checked the Thor Heyerdal (the tall ship you found). She's 93 years old and is being run by an association with the goal of introducing young people to sailing. They offer trips to school classes for very reasonable prices. Right now she's on the way back to Europe for the summer season in the Baltic Sea. Very cool find! 🙂

  15. Well, I would love to know Spanish especially living in south Florida now. Pain issues forced me to sell my 35ft cris Craft sailboat that I just bought in September. Between my dog limping and I suspect it was because slipping getting out of the forward cabin, 2 acl surgeries was aggravating that knee and my shoulder crapped out entirely. Driving from Galveston Texas to south Florida just hurt to put the turn signal on. I realized I’d be putting everyone in danger if something’s happened and I had to react fast. I really hated having to sell the boat but felt it was the best thing to do. I now live the life I’d hope to explore through your videos and I greatly appreciated your experiences and how you share your knowledge and wisdom and the beautiful sceneries. Love you guys❤️⛵️👍👍

  16. I speak German French Spanish and some Russian and the courses at the University Tennessee here in Knoxville Tn…..l did mostly by Ham Radio and i have been a Ham for over 57 years now….THANKS CAPTAIN RICK MADDY AND OF COURSE LITTLE RICCI🥰😇
