  2. Doesn't the yacht feed the employees? If you are some 25 year old guy with no commitments, seems like it would be easy to stay on a yacht without getting paid. Your room and board is covered. Unless you are going into town spending money, why would you need money?

  3. Motor Yacht A was in the Caribbean some years ago and I had the privilege of being shown around by the then captain. The yacht is very VERY impressive and although not to my taste turns heads where ever she goes. One detail which may escape most people is that with the bow similar to a dreadnought battleship she apparently scoops up fishing pots. In the Lee of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean there are lots of fishing pots and you are in danger of being struck by one if standing anywhere on the foredeck. If the vessel is steaming at 15 knots they can even carry as far back as the bridge.

I am ab Antigua and our government just trying to rush new laws trough the house 🏡 of Parliament with out following standard house laws and not informing the other members of the house who are represents citizens who number more than the ruling administration and this is very unethical and disrespectful to the other representatives and citizens saying it's emergency but never informed our rep's about the problem officially for proper discussion and amendment to our house laws that can have international effects if not properly done on our Marine sectors of business.

  8. The plane is still his. As you can see the plane has been operated by global jet since 2009 (Gloabl jet austria is basically just an office with the minimum staff required by the austrian authorities to operate (the director is in luxembourg most of the time. It is the same company and most of the management is done by globaljet Luxembourg). Jet aviation is a maintenance organisation so the plane was likely there for major refurbishment (mainly used by global jet in switzerland (basel-mulhouse europort)) and the operator changed for that period.
    M-YBBJ was a "private use" only organisation. Being LX registered means global jet took it on as a "comnmercial" aircraft. It doesn't mean anyone can charter it, just that the way money goes through is "like" an charter. Abrahamovic has/had most of his Falcon and gulfstream jets like that and only he used them: LX-GVI G-650, LX-MES F7x "mini bandit" to the P4-MES 767 "bandit", LX-RAY, another g-650, LX-lux Global 6000, he also has a 787 dreamliner P4-BDL .

  9. The people that buy these super yachts spend >$10M on a yacht, then refuse to pay their crew, fuel and food bills. Meanwhile, if we 'poors' buy fuel or food, we have to pay before we get anything. If you pump 2500 gallons of fuel into a super yacht without a pre-approved credit card, be prepared to kiss it goodbye.

  11. You should know how much the Captain would be on and the Chief Engineer. They would easily be able to afford to stay on board and self fund, it would be relatively easy for a bosun upwards too. They would know that any days worked would be paid at some point. When that thing finally gets sold then the crew and any outstanding wages would be paid first and they would have been advised as such.

  12. Further to my comment below… The reason why they would remain onboard MY Alfa Nero. The maritime lien for seafarers and Masters wages automatically comes into force as soon as wages are due and unpaid. The Master and crew do not have to take any action to create the maritime lien. Once the ship has been arrested and they have a judgment in their favour, which they have, the court will order the ship to be sold. The proceeds from the sale of the ship will be used to pay the wages before most of the other maritime claims against the ship are paid. I believe as Alfa Nero was Cayman flagged, which as British overseas territory, is covered by the Merchant Shipping Act (2021 Revision) then both the Seafarer and the Master would get reimbursed any outstanding monies owed.

  13. What WORK is the crew doing? The boat isn't going anywhere no guests are coming aboard the boss isn't here to complain. I can imagine living in paradises rent free for a year! I might even get paid by the boat owner but I'm sure I could pick up some cash paying jobs to buy some food and drinks out in town once in a while.

  14. It’s wild to me that no one was willing to throw some dive gear on and cut the lines off the prop while stranded. Did they not own any? Why wouldn’t you at least have a hookah set up?

  15. It appears the aircraft was deregistered from the US and exported in 2009 .
    As far as US regs go operating the aircraft as "9 or less" ( seating) under Part 135 ( on demand air charter) allows less stringent maintenance requirements versus 10 or more **in no way does that mean shortcutting or less maintenance and that it is any less safe. The Boeing IS a robust airframe with millions of safe miles flown – engineers know what is going to break when and what needs looking at and most of the maintenance is "on condition".
    You may see 20 different couches and chairs in the video but to be considered a "seat" there has to be a seat belt and an automatic drop down oxygen mask in the overhead. It's possible they left it in that 9 seat configuration throughout the various import/ export certificate of airworthiness processes of each country it was registered. To change interior layouts is a major deal, especially with paperwork- everyting has to have burn certs and engineering approvals.

  16. Am I the only one who finds it sad with so much poverty in the world; these mammoth yachts are getting bigger and bigger. I consider it rather obscene.
