Bikini roz Turchiose Water! Navigare spre Bahamas

1. I have been on 14 cruises, they are lots of fun and are what you make it. but it doesn't beat what you guys are doing. it's definitely more relaxing than all the planning you guys have to do. Since we have an ocean front summer home, with our power boat, seadoos and small sail boat, cruising is not as appealing as it once was to me. but that said, we just got back from an 11 day cruise from NYC down to Tortolla, the DR, San Juan, Sint Maarten and St Thomas. My personal water toys just can't get me that far, but yours can.

  2. We've cruised a bunch of times with Princess and love it. But it's absolutely a love it or hate it type of vacation. Being sailors who enjoy seeing new ports and not the same beach day in and day out. You might enjoy it.

  3. We have cruised a lot. We don’t like the huge ships that dump 4500-5000 ppl in small areas. We love Celebrity, great food, nice rooms and nice staff. Norwegian has gone cheap, food is mostly so-so. I don’t trust Carnival or Princess. We love Alaska, went through Panama Canal, sailed Caribbean, and a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. Next up: Scandinavia, the Med, and/or Australia.

  4. Let me know when you go, I’d get my hubs to go. He gets real sea sick and is miserable which is why we can’t join you on the group sails. I could go, but I’m not as spry as I used to be. But at 71 I can still party and nothing freaks me out.

  5. I would never go on a cruise because I like to be the one who determines how long I spend in one place, and I also like to eat local and get to know the locals. I'm not knocking cruises……I've never been on one. I just know what I like and it's not my thing.

  6. I've done a bunch of cruises over the years. The best way to think about them is you're staying at a resort that moves around while you're there. Each cruise line is like a different chain of resorts. Some lines are more aimed at a young partying crowd, others are aimed at a more relaxed older crowd, others aimed at families. Most of the lines will focus on one group, but be inclusive to others.
The longer the cruise, regardless of cruise line, the less partying goes on just because it's a bigger investment of time and money for those cruises.
I've been one one cruise to the Caribbean, but I've been on two in Europe and several to SE Alaska.
If you want to do a cruise, figure out somewhere that is on the water that you want to visit, but don't really want to take your boat there, or try and find a charter boat there.
It's a different type of cruising than what you do. You only really get to see the highlights of a place and it's not really possible to immerse yourself into a local area and aren't in charge of your schedule to the same extent. As long as you go into it understanding that you'll be fine.

  7. We’ve been on several cruises. Some ships are nicer than others but I think the experience, good or bad is more about your attitude than the ship. I think I would love to do what you’re doing…At least for a month or two.

  8. I dont like doing touristy type if things, I love sailing visiting out of the way places, but I was talked into taking a cruise on Royal Caribbean and I loved it and will do many more

  9. I've so much enjoyed "vicariously" your sailing and touring adventures! What a great ambassador for boating and boat travel you are! I've learned SO much from your videos. What an education. So glad I "found" you a few years ago!

  10. i don't think it would be that much fun going on vacation with that many people. i'm not really a people person. you guy's have it made what a wonder lifestyle! thank you for sharing.

  11. Well sir, cruise ships can be fun IF the ship isn't too big. We cruised the very first time on the "Pacific Princess", the original Love Boat, some twenty five years ago and loved it! Only about 750 passengers made it so nice and relaxed. On the other hand, we have cruised on a ship that had almost 5,000 passengers and it was awful! This coming Fall we will be cruising the British Isles on a ship accommodating only 950 and we are so looking forward to that one!

  12. We've been on three Carnival cruises for our 35th, 40th and 45th wedding anniversaries. We had a great time on each one. All three were in the western Caribbean, taking us to Chichen Itza, Progresso, Cosumel, Costa Maya, Roatan and Belize. I want to do this again. Doris and I don't drink, smoke or gamble, which makes a week on a cruise ship about a cheap as staying home.

  13. Bimini is one of my favorites! Our most viewed video currently is when carnival cruise went to Bimini for the first time on the return to sailing in August of 21! There is a tram that runs around the island that was a riot to ride!
