If you stay just offshore from the Bahamas, do you still have to register and pay immigration?
Great to see you again, Kevin. Getting my weekly fix from the comfort of my office chair…
Curious as to how long it takes you to edit an average video that you upload!
Was anchored off Matthew Town a few weeks. Wishing I had an engineless boat when I paid $8 a gallon for diesel there!
Your Ruth Avery sure looks great in those drone shots! She is a trim little craft. Now I have to go look up info on Acklin island… new to me. Once again; thank you.
Good to show the computer work on how to obtain a cruising permit. Thanks.
Once again Kevin your detailed information about Click2Clear into the Bahamas was excellent! Good to know that the Bahamian Government dropped that silly covid requirement!
Sail On!
⛵️⛵️⛵️
How much does Baby Ruth weigh? Looks pretty easy to wrestle around.
Enjoyed….thx, you must be back in Deltaville now? Am in lower exumas, bound for Long Island, Raggeds. Maybe north to Chesapeake in May to haul, will see. Thx, Andrew
Good Stuff
the testing bs is nothing to do with health, its about coming global martial law under medical pretext. Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test, said it was useless to detect viral infection. He called Fauci a fraud and then died just before the scamdemic. When you obey this shit without question, you are selling out the human race.
Thank you for another interesting enjoyable video.
At what point would one fly the "Q" flag? At 3 miles or when in sight of shore?
This guy is a mariner. The only one I’ve seen on the web. Unless it would be Sven Yrvind.
Watch your channel and really enjoy but my boat was missing a bell as in yours at 11:43 so managed to acquire one which had been stashed in a shed for 30+ years so the right patina . I`m sure it`s going to make me a far better sailor 🙂
Love all your interesting tidbits on sailing. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Actually the price for your Bahamas cruising permit steps up from 150 to 300$ at 35' LOA, not at 36' . I was lucky, as my boat was just 34'11.5". It took some time to convince the lady at customs/immigration that my boat is not 35' long and that I' m not obliged to pay for a big boat. But with my official boat papers showing a length of 10,68m metric and some help with basic arithmetics I could show her, that I wasn't not cheating, when I told her, that my boat is just shy of the magic 35'😁
Great video.
Hi how are you getting internet to clear out at sea?
Do you need to get a zarpe to check into the Bahamas when leaving from Florida?
What do you mean when you say "road-stead anchorage"? Google tells me that it is an "anchorage outside of a harbor". Is that how you mean it here? Why not go into the harbor? Great videos and I love all the details!
👍
Thanks
another enjoyable video.
I'm interested to know the layout of Ruth Avery's cabin. You make it look so spacious, which to me seems unreal for a 28' boat. There must be some trick to it… Can we get a diagram some time?
As Always…The" BEST IN CLASS" of real sailing…Thanks Kevin….
Dude, don't leave your passport with random strangers
Are there any islands or anchorages that you can get away with staying at, without needing to clear in? Like super remote and secluded?
so if you didn't have a clot shot…and didn't want a fake test that's not a test for anything? would they just tell you no?
Getting a ride from the customs official…nice! Extra $40, not so nice!
After years, you still sail with no engine. What, just too lazy? Stubborn?
Kevin, I was stunned when I saw back in February that you had gone to Great Inagua. Yes, marine traffic, we know where you are. Anyway, I visited that place twice in the late 80’s. First time was to pick up some replacement sails for a boat I was delivering to St. Lucia. They never arrived. While there, I took a tour of the island. Well the treat was the lighthouse that was still using a kerosene lamp as the light that and was rotating in a sea of liquid Mercury and while powered by a wind up weight system which needed rewinding every hr. Two lighthouse keepers, with two separate homes.
The second time was 1 month later and making my approach at night, the lighthouse beacon all of a sudden was a fixed light, not blinking. I gathered the keeper forgot to wake up to rewind the weights! It stayed that way until dawn.
Hope to catch-up with again, maybe in Deltaville.
Safe travels
Loved it!
Just brilliant, using the bumper to roll the dingy up the beach!
Hey Rose!
We're on Cetacea, the Baba 30 you just past… we're heading back to Annapolis to do a electric motor conversion on and hope to see you again underway!
Screw The Bahamas, spend your money in The Key's…
Cool idea using a fender.
