  1. Shamanism has pretty weird racial undertones. Like, what it's described as is an amalgamation of stereotypes of the religions of people the British colonized. If it's chosen it should be changed to something which is rooted in the world of runescape. The only shamans in the game at present are evil lizard people you kill on mass (which in and of its self is leaning on the side of problematic). The devs have already been trying to rectify the racially iffy parts of the game like changing the Middle Eastern coded people to not all have the same name.

I know that this is going to get the "gamers" riled up to throw a kkk rally in Fally because "politics in my video games". I just think the "shaman" roll in games is not something which really has a place.

It could easily be changed to something orientated around druids, which already has a presence in runescape. It's also a topic that British people would be able to present more knowledgably and respectfully.

  2. Please guys dont vote shamanism. Collecting untradables that are required for xp sounds sooo awful. For anyone who played during summoning remember Collecting charms. Ya was awful.

  3. As a think more and more, Sailing to me is Dungeoneering once again, theres no way this becomes a skill where you have to go to specific places and interact with a niche system to level up. Dungeoneering was my third highest leveled skill and once i got to 80+ i did enjoy the rewards, but till this day i think it shouldve just been an expansion, rather than locked down by skill levels
Sailing to me should be its own system like a 5th tab in your quest journal ou general tab and intergrate all skills including something like Taming and Shamanism. Sailing could go e access to Slayer areas, Wc, Fishing, Farming while also tapping into those skills to make you ship better or look good

  4. sailing is actually growing on me, shamanism seems very interesting but dont love the current training ideas…no one wants pokescape so we oughtta chill with that and summoning 2.0 as a whole

  5. Sailing exactly like it's in bone voyage and xp rates capped at around 25k/h for levels 90-99… That would get my vote for sure🔥

  6. You know, I was sold on sailing months ago but after hearing the details of each skill, I'm convinced that all 3 would benefit the game tremendously but in different ways. I'm split again lol

  7. My concern for implementing pvp into these ideas is that if there is something to lose a large amount of players are going to avoid it

  8. taming feels pretty boring to train, also having to care about the pet seems like a pain tbh, plus the potential to ruin the game seems big to me

  9. Shamanism is my pick! Not the biggest fan of taming, and I do like the sailing pitch, but to me it sounds more like an activity than a skill.

  10. You seem pretty sure that a new skill is coming out no matter what.
Remember, the vast majority of players want A skill, but the vast majority of players don't want just ANY skill.
I for one don't like the idea of adding a skill just for the sake of having new content or because it's a fun idea. I only want a new skill if it's something that I feel the game was always missing, and there are a limited number of skills that fit that bill. For me right now, that's sailing, bard, and maybe some sort of automation skill like engineering. I also wouldn't be mad if taming came out, since animals are clearly already tamed in the game.
But outside of those, there's a good chance I'll vote no to every other skill poll, and it's possible there are others in that 80% population of new-skill-supporters that think similarly.

  11. Thank you for this video! Can't wait to see what passes the votes
For me, Sailing could be brought into the game as an activity that could introduce some new skilling methods to a vast variety of skills. Personally, I don't really like the idea of it being a skill but if it does pass, I'm not going to be butt-hurt.
Taming has a lot of potential and I love the pokemon concept, that would be so awesome to have in-game. I'm all for the utility it will provide and give a bit of life to some skills that really lack any redeemable quality's. Lots to expand on.. quite a lot of potential there for sure
Shamanism is the one I'll be voting for. I think the potential for the spirit realm is something that CANNOT be understated. Obviously in the beginning, it's going to leave a lot to be desired in a lot of areas considering how expansive the map is, but that just means there's so much more they could do. My biggest hope for the spirit realm is that they add an invocation system to already existing bosses that you could fight in the spirit realm. This could bring extra life/difficulty to some older, more outdated encounters in the game while requiring little work as the resources for the boss already exist, they just need to build on the foundation they've already set. I could see a number of quest lines that could branch out to explain different aspects of the lore/history. The fact the skill won't be buyable is great too, I just don't see any downsides to this one personally.

Great video as always my man, looking forward to hearing more about the Mastery skill concept in a future video

  12. My vote is definitely on sailing. I'm terrified of shamanism because it turns this game into something resembling more like a WoW or RS3. We don't need enchantments for armor, auras, or any of that bullshit. It just opens the door to rapidly increasing the rate of power creep in the game which already is at a point that's concerning for me. So my order of preference goes as such:
    1. Sailing
    2. Taming
    3. Shamanism

but really sailing is the only one that fits OSRS in my book.

  13. shaman sounds the most lame and vague, we already have enough potions and enough weapon buffs, either sailing animal farming or taming but make sure it doesnt crash servers or only shows for the person that has it maybe.

  14. I think Shamanism is probably the best, simply because it has the most potential when it comes to the actual levelling process, I don't think we want more idle skills. Also I like the weapon oil idea, reminds me of resins in dark souls and the spirit realm gives us world expansion
