4. Overall experience with MSC:
   Coming on to this cruise I expected MSC to be this fantasy cruise, since this is what was advertised to us. Upon our initial arrival at Port Canaveral we experienced some very pleasant staff in parking deck. Once we entered the lady at the counter area for was very unpleasant and made the interaction uncomfortable.

   From the moment we got to the counter she was very low energy and just down right rude. She spoke in a very condescending tone to us when check documents, rolled her eyes a couple of times and made the ordeal just uncomfortable. I tried to lighten the mood a bit by making statements about our excitement, expressing our gratitude for her helping us get checked in. Still didn’t help the situation. She reminded me of the “Blue” emotion from one of my kids favorite movie “Inside Out!”

   Whew we made it through that ordeal, began out experience onboard with a wonderful housekeeping attendant “Juan.” He helped us find our way to the cabin and was very delightful the next few days in passing always had a smile and offered assistance. “Andi” our assigned housekeeping attendant was wonderful great attitude made sure to check on my family and myself.

   The cruise ship Merivaglia was very beautiful very well kept. Dinner arrangements were always terrible disorganized. If I were to rate the food in main diner I would say sub par. Steak was only thing cooked descent each night. But there is only so much steak you can eat. Pasta was horrible, and dessert was not appealing cake was dry.
   Service was horrible our waitress seemed like we annoyed her when asking questions, constantly got our orders wrong. Then she would get upset when we mentioned it was not the right order. We had times we dreaded going to the diner but we wanted the experience we paid for so we fought through it.

   First show was so so. Highs and low a few nerves of the entertainment crew showed all in all good show. As far as shows go the one really worth is the “Rock Circus!” They will have a few new shows that are on the next voyage that seem really good.

   Overall Bahamas was the same I’ve been there multiple times still enjoyed the culture. Ocean Key/Kay forget the private island name. The staff there continued to speak to people in rude condescending manner. They were not very helpful and also felt like we were annoying them when asking for simple directions to places. A few employees offered assistance when they noticed our irritation but directed us back to same staff that didn’t assist previously.

   Belize: They attempted to do this tender system which was just horrible. They handed out tickets for passage on transports to the island. Which would be a good idea if they followed their own plan. They literally had us get up to meetup at 6am to hand out tickets. Chaos! I was maybe 15 in line they proceeded to skip to the people behind us after a family four spots a head asked for 100 tickets for their party. I got my tender ticket proceeded to area to use my tender for Belize, again there they called all number starting at 1-20. But it was all pointless they never checked the tickets to see numbers. So people with ticket numbers 20 and so on got ahead of myself and my family. Which I wasn’t upset with that. But!Why waste my time getting me up 5am to get in line for tickets if you aren’t even checking the numbers? And yea I had to get up early. Only two groups of boats leaving for main land and first group allows more time for excursions and so on. Again communication horrible.

   Midway through this trip regretted booking with MSC. Wife and I talked we should’ve booked on Norwegian again. Overall I would say the cruise line MSC not what it’s built up to be. Customer service 2/5 food 1/5 ship 4/5 overall experience 2/5. On top of that paid $300 for digital package and a few photo prints before we disembarked and still hadn’t received all images. They refuse to email us back after asking for the info to help with getting us the remaining images. Mind you this was over almost two weeks I’ve been off my cruise.
