1. As we used to say in scheduling in the transport industry , it's not a f*%$k up till it happens. Good to find mistakes before they have an impact!

  2. Were Swedish swear words flying off-camera when Johan realized the template wasn't right? This episode reminded me that when we're building something, whether a software product or sailing yacht, mistakes happen. Mistakes like this challenge our patience, but the best craftsman calmly regroup and adapt. I tip my hat to Johan and Malin.

  3. It would mean so much, in this age of epoxy and glass, to have a traditional dragon figurehead, or a depiction of Ran, the Viking goddess of the sea on the bow of the new boat.

  4. Really like your workmanship and explanations. That router is impressive.
How did you break the window? Must have made you pretty mad.

  5. Vera is right-handed (and talented painter). Johan has caught a cold. And Malin is so tiny when she wanted to help carry the prow! She is all heart!

  6. Wow what a wonderful piece of art in wood! Congratulations and I hope you had a happy Easter. Tomorrow work will start again and it was a pleasure to watch you before that.
The faster scenes with sound in normal mode are really good. Your love for everyone and everything around you like your playing daughter and the bird is heart warming. It’s good and clear that friendship is adding your own efforts.
    P.S.
Is the broken window still from the first delivery or something new?

  7. Dont know about you Johan…
But only now, and after this first piece was done, i start to realize the scale of the amount of work that will be needed to build that boat!
You have the skills, another pair of hands from Malin and even Vera is already inserting some modifications to the original project 🙂
In the end, following your sailing adventures on this boat will became even more interesting!

Great job, Johan, Malin and Vera 🙂

  8. You need a trolley guys. Or a board with castors on it. Save your back. Can't afford to put your back out and loose time etc. Next project.

  9. It’s so enjoyable and instructive to see this process. Johan’s explanations are really clear and concise, the artistry of his craftsmanship is a demonstration of being in flow.

  10. 🌄** Two Inputs Johan(&Malin&Vera), ..second point maybe useful –1) Thanks for marvelous documentations on sailing and BoatBuilding. –2) If wanting to preserve temp.Frames more intact after planking..: ..Could it be and idea to quickly glue "food-paper"-strips on the edges of all the temp.Frames ? (just with some ordinary cheap glue, and using 'baking-paper') –>..In this way perhaps more chance of re-usability on your temp.Frames when removing them,..not sure..Just a quick thought.
(..Norw; "..Bare en tanke, i og med dere nevnte i en eller annen episode, at dere kanskje ønsket å bevara temp.Frame'ne ) //..Ha en fin uke til dere alle, Takk igjen for flotte og intresante videoer.
