Fantastic, the BOUNTY spent 3 months trying to go around the horn the same way as you and gave up turning east to make Tahiti, you guys are making it look like a cake ride I'm impressed your yacht is impressive and the way you control her is too. Cheers.
It’s nice to see more sailing in challenging conditions.
I do have a question though, it seems that you don’t open your boom vang when reefing. Reef points aren’t parallel to the foot, but angled so that in rougher conditions the boom tip is lifted further from the wave tops. But you seem to leave it low, and let the reefed clue fly. Is there a reason?
Thanks and I can’t wait to see you double the horn!
Kate, Curtis (and Roxy!) keep up the good work! I look forward to following you around the Horn and on to the Pacific! Great channel, interesting videos, thanks for sharing
This is a very nice sailing video, congrats.
Great work guys!!!
Damn! You guys really have your shit together. Lots of fun!
Sorry to hear about the drone and GoPro. It’s easy to forget that you guys are pretty far south and it’s cold there.
I’m not convinced that boom end sheaves provide enough angle to secure the clew on the#2 and #3 reef points. I’m sure that you noticed, just as I did in a NorPac gale. IMHO the angle is too acute.
You could have trimmed that out from the cockpit. That wasn’t a skirt. Wtf…that’s was unnecessary, just for your video. SMH.
So sad for you guys. very very very sorry…
if only they had little water activated life rafts for cameras…!
For decades I have lived by a little motto: If it doesn't kill you, you learn from it, laugh at it, and keep on trucking.
You learn from it to improve and do better; you laugh at it to not let it get you down; and you keep on trucking so you don't let it stop you. It works. I'll be 74 in a week.
I know Go Pros are good, but when the actual content is way more important than video quality for pixel gazers, there are many other cheaper alternatives.
Treacherous… That’s the word we’re looking for.!! 😱🫣
54S, 64W 22:15 and I have to go out on the Bow in this Stormy 🌊 night. 👏👌👍🥳
Curtis I am very happy u know what u are doing.
Outstanding well done there folks . Excellent content
11:46 the top of your mast is bent pretty far back. Looks like you've got to ease up the back stay maybe?
So cute in the sleeping bag 😊 Be of good cheer you guys!! Love your never say die smile you have Kate , it shows the great child like faith you both have. It's all good 👍⛵💖🌤️
Happy Easter 🕊️🙏🌺💐🌷🌸🌅🏝️

Happy Easter Kate, Curtis and Roxy the dog. Best sailing channel on YouTube.
Hi from New Zealand. All I can say is you two are really game and brave. All activities well done and very well executed. Shame about your toys being lost over board but I am sure Davy will be able to use them. Cheers Ian
Camera and drone loss beats breaking boat any day!
why don't you used the rute across estrecho de Magallanes and the comercial rutenios to Puerto willimans and wait conditions on this point?
I live en Punta Arenas and I live two. yeas in cabo de hornos if you need information I'm happy to help you
Quick tourist Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion: Double the Celsius then add 32. 10C x 2 = 20. Then, to that the result, add 32. So, 20 + 32 = 52F. The actual conversion of 10C to F is 50F. The touristy conversion works fairly well (within a few) most everyday situations.
Very enjoyable episode. Great job on the edit!
Dang….I was really hoping this was the episode I’d finally see the top of Curtis’ hat from the drone!
Sarcasm.
Love your channel. Every test shows us who we are….and some show us who we REALLY are.
Maravilloso video, sois extraordinarios.
Nice mix of music and waves.
Thank you.
Didn't the drone crash into the wind generator on a previous episode? I believe you saved it that time.
Hope you can get a new drone shipped to a collection point along the Beagle Channel. Great choice of music as usual. Love how you can dial down the Ruca to reduce load, prepare for the night, slow down, yet she sails well. Then you also know how the safely keep the speed up when required.
Unlike in the epic film 'Master and Commander' you haven't lost the mizen mast or had to cut a crewmember loose with the wreckage of the mizen!
I always have a lanyard attaching my GoPro to my sea kayak. I don't rely on the mount fitting alone.
Great job to you both! You definitely must love sailing, to do this in these temperatures!
I am so sorry for the loss of your camera and drone. I am excited about seeing the next episode. Hope you stay safe and well.
Southern Ocean starts south of 60S.
Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark. Best sailing channel, best music. Thank you so much for sharing.
