  1. Great video – but a couple of questions: Why don't you wear a safety harness when working on deck???? – secondly it looks like you reef your main from the rear and then afterwards the front? -maybe I am wrong but it looks like it. I do it the other way around. Front first, tighten and then the rear of the main….

  2. I never write comments on Utube Sailing video but wow you are good sailors…I should say real sailors! You don’t wait to get the perfect boat, a dodger and design sailing clothes…you sail! You are very inspiring people, a nice persevering couple. You remember us when we started sailing. It’s called passion ❤️💙

  3. Get yourself a 12 V activator and put a eiler pulley on one end of it… mounted solid. So it's up against your pulley on your auto pilotbelt anytime You need a little more tion, all you have to do is push your button , the activator will come out and push the eiler pulley up a little bit tighter against your pulley Belt ,and tighten your belt up for you… you can loosen it any time you. Want you can tighten it up anytime you want. Activators are cheap a short little one like you'll need. I'll probably cost thirty five dollars and then a eiller pulley you can get from a junkyard…….

  4. Do you think that when your line breaks and the hook is left in the fish it hurts them until they die? There was a shark recently found with 60 fish hooks in it. Do you think that was a painful death?

  5. Love the show! You two are great, where are you going in Florida? Weather is pretty choppy here in Panama city FL. Be good and stay safe!

  6. Great episode!!! You two are the real deal and have excelled at all the initiations sailing life has sent your way which equips you in ways you will benefit from in more ways than you may imagine. Highest Blessings

  7. Tension mounts as these veteran sailors take on the Gulf Stream in a cold front. Amazing footage, reefed to the numbers in Force 5-6 and moderate swell, these qualified seaman must hove as a squall passes. As Beau reels in the huge catch we noticed his expertise as a provider, there will be fresh fish on the plate. Excitement in a stressful passage we learn how best to cross the Stream in comfort, relaxing, watching the Green Flash and getting ready for more informative boat projects. We thank you so much for sharing this amazing episode and pray your landing is safe in Florida.

  8. Why haven’t you reefed the head sail? The main is first to reef, then the head sail, then 2nd main reef, the furl the head sail. That sequence will keep the boat balanced. I quest you don’t have a head sail furler.

  9. Just discovered this. What? No cheesy music? Only sailing? And the sound of the wind and the sea? Brilliant. Subscribed.

  10. There is always 2 sides to the coin. not having all the automated electric or hydraulic in cockpit goodies makes you better and tougher sailors and less like clueless tourists lost a sea .
Thanks for sharing the good and the bad.

  11. Love the drone footage on this episode. You can really get the perspective of the seas that you were sailing through. The really high altitude shot showed how small you really are on the open sea. Two thumbs up!

  12. Will Saoirse sail with the main only? Might be an option to shorten sail even more by taking down the "little lady". I guess it depends on the point of sail.

  13. You bloody LEGENDS… awesome episode guys. Brandy, you are fricken gorgeous ma… you sound just like Nikki from hone with the Wynns. Love from Adrian in Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦 🤙🏼

  14. Great video and editing! Love all the sailing footage and sounds of the waves. You really captured the essence of what it is like sailing in those rough seas. When you are reefing, are you sailing close hauled, or are you motoring directly into the wind?
