Americans need to seriously STOP going to Mexico. The country isn’t a safe place even when traveling in a group and in broad daylight. Take the Texans for example. Kidnapped 4 of them in DAYLIGHT just a month ago. 2 killed. And it was the wrong people they were after. Just don’t go to Mexico.

these white people were conspicuous in a foreign country with a nice, nice boat. more than likely they are all dead and other people are enjoying their fine boat!!!!! some californians are so spoiled, pampered and naive to the point of full blown stupid. but in their defense, california media never, never tells the truth about mexico!!!!!! i was in Houston and the front of their paper is about the 9 headless bodies found in san diego co. but nothing in san diego paper. they only found 8 heads. this is reality!!!!!

They are gone. The waves and storms alone were hideous that week. It was recommended not to travel those waters. They should have known.
I've seen lots of news media in the U.S. wanting to twist and compare this event to the African Americans kidnapped in Matamoros a few weeks ago in which two were killed and the others injured and found. American media has falsified the report as always trying to offend Mexico "as always" by saying those kidnapped in Matamoros were American "tourists" when it has already been proven by Mexican Authorities that those Black tourists were there for drug trafficking reasons and pissed off the local cartel so they got what was coming to them. As for the three American sailors missing…lets not pass judgement yet until Mexican and American authorities working jointly complete their thorough search of the sea where they went missing.
At least 99.9% of Mexican students can go to school and get back home safely every day without having to worry about some maniac shooting up their school like in the USA. Sure, America the perfect country…uhuh. Tell that lie to your granny.
Drug mules
A 20 year experienced sailor would have, and use, their radio, to alert coast guard, and their EPIRB, if fallen overboard, if weather was an issue for them. Mexico is notorious for bandits, on the mainland. Pirates on the high seas would not be surprising. I'm hopping for the best, but, I fear that pirates play an issue, here
