Farmers and sailors always watch the weather. Learn how to make your own water catcher from your hard top.
When you know a second storm coming have a second anchor ready.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦,
Awesome
Watching this video I keep thinking of the word "relentless" and the challenges to follow a dream. From the rivers to the ICW and now the red Tide. The open ocean is calling!
Maybe mount something like swimming pool ladders along the sides of the solar cells?
Love your channel, no drama! Just life’s up’s & downs! In boating life, I am mentoring myself from your videos so when it’s our turn to travel S/V Far Niente. We live in Long Island NY, and in the Chesapeake Eastern Shore MD also! Your bread was beautiful by the way!
Looking good with the tans.
Great video showing the ups and downs of cruising. A short inflatable folded raft/floaty tied and held at bow on dinghy might lessen the water spray/splash. Or construct a foam noodle T (bottom of T at the bow) with fabric/plastic sheet attached to stop the spray in same way. What was the name of the preserve you walked in after landing at dinghy dock?
Hows the water catchment from the Bimini going? then when those squalls come over you'll be excited to top up the water tanks…..
Yes, you have an amazing husband because if you’re able to deal with it, it’s yours do something with it lol if you were crippled or something like that, I would clean you up if I had to and you were my wife Able-bodied NO lmao you’re turd your problem lol😂❤🤙
I don’t think Oaktrees are native to a lot of these islands so they were brought there. I learned that watching that cursed treasure Island in Canada.
So what do y’all think so far about boat life is it what you thought it would be any regrets
Lol…your kids don’t look thrilled….maybe just shy?
Billabong sells men’s shorts that dry quickly and are very comfortable. Work great around water.
Por dónde andan …??? Trate de ver el mapa al inicio pero pasa muy rápido …..y para donde van …mucha suerte …!!!
Use a leaf blower to get the sand off you.
Do you not have a desalinator on board?
You forgot to say, "Watch out for the alligators". Haha!
Dust with talcum powder and the sand falls right off.
Rinse feet in a bucket of water before stepping on board.
Mannn one storm after another. Hopefully the bread taste good, it looks good even though it is crunchy. Wow all those dead fish I wander what happen to them. It’s always something to do on the boat. Have fun you guys.
Try a pump up garden sprayer for your sandy feet. We always had one or even two for the kids and especially the "adults". 😁 We had a salty one and a fresh water one👍.
Looks like good times!
always great to see your progress and the true side of family sailing. thanks for sharing.
The average breadmaker uses .36kw to make a loaf of bread, and they are available at most Goodwills for $8-$10.
Been there DeSoto not a bad place to anchor! Stay safe and keep rolling Spoondrifter crew! 👍👍 just normal boating weather in Florida.. in for an hour of crazy weather then it calms down.. can come up fast to!
Sand and other shore based foot a garbage is a big issue. It all finds its way onto deck and then below as its last resting place. Wash feet and shoes over side of dinghy before coming on board.. or in a bucket at the shore departure point. Have crew dust of clothes on shore before enterin dinghy this includes annimals. To reduce water coming into dinghy under way do not load forward of midship if possible.
What anchor alarm are you using and are you happy with it?
It baffels my mind that you installed an electric motor to save the planet yet you run a gasoline generator to recharge batteries! So I guess the green new deal isn't truly working for you? Sorry to be so blunt.
Great video! (Glad you escaped those blue gilled pythons.) 😂😎👍
Are yous still in florida… or near the Tortugas ? If yous get a chance visit Tortuga National Park. It’s worth it… safe travels.
