  2. You need to convince Parley to come up to Alaska before heading to NZ. Come up here and ride the Turnagain arm bore tide. A wave you can surf for miles.

    A bore tide is a wave formed when a low tide and a high tide collide in a narrow and shallow inlet. Turnagain Arm, near Anchorage, Alaska, has one of the world's biggest bore tides, with waves up to 10 feet tall and speeds of 10 to 15 miles per hour. The bore tide occurs 2-3 hours after the low tide time in Anchorage, and depends on the tidal differential and the moon phase. It can be seen and surfed almost every day, especially during the fall and spring equinoxes.

It may be awhile, but some day you will pull into a beautiful anchorage far far away and there they’ll be. So many young cruisers now days with many years in front of them. You’ll spend days sharing and catching up. Than…what’s over the next horizon. ❤🙏
