Trecuseră ani de când am făcut o trecere mare pe ocean… Delos a traversat Atlanticul fără noi, în timp ce eram în Suedia, primind-o pe Sierra pe lume, dar ultima noastră mare vele a fost Africa către Brazilia, care se simte ca cu o viață în urmă! Uitasem cum era să petrecem săptămâni la mare, să pierdem din vedere pământul, familiaritatea și civilizația… Să pierdem norea timpului și a obligațiilor zilnice într-un mod atât de monumental și să devenim hiper concentrați asupra prezentului și a trăirii în o rutină atât de frumoasă și simplă. După luni de pregătire, tragem în sfârșit cârligul și plecăm în călătoria noastră de aproape 3.000 de mile marine prin cel mai mare ocean din lume. La doar 4 mile de la plecare, ne confruntăm cu prima noastră curbă a călătoriei, în timp ce motorul nostru de încredere în mod normal începe să ne joace feste. Dar Delos este o barcă cu pânze și asta urma să facem! Așa că mergem mai departe și întâlnim niște condiții destul de epice, prindem un pește monstru, ne amestecăm cu niște delfini curioși și ne bucurăm de ultima vedere a pământului timp de săptămâni. Just curious about AG1 , Did you do any research on this stuff ?? I'm curious since they seem to have most sailing channels advertising for them and these commercials will usually make me change channels ! But since I have been following you guys for many years I bear thru it . But I did lots of research on most green supplements and this is not so great !!! And when you make sounds soo great , And kind of makes you out to be liars ! Which I don't think you are but it's out of all the channels I watch you rate the best ! It's just like when LA Vega Bond went commercial crazy they lost lots of subscribers .

I loved the history story at the beginning. I was shocked that 69 souls have served aboard Delos. I recall losing your auto-pilot at the beginning of your Atlantic crossing and decided to cross anyway. Did it the old fashion way. What's a little radiator hose leak compared to that. Good to have a roll of magic tape.

Thats pretty ballsy to continue without engine. Guess you guys been sailing delos so many years now it doesnt really matter you have the experience with the boat. Good you got a temp fix on it, now you just need to order replacement hose.
This is laughable. First of all you should have recognized the coolant leak before departing. That is simple stuff. Second, your failure to return 4 miles to port of departure for proper repairs shows really poor judgement. If you need that engine in an emergency and the rescue tape fails, well good luck. Can only imaging what other troubles you will have.

Nice fish. Looked like an ignoblis/ giant trevally or giant kingfish. Try cutting into the gill lining and bleeding the fish before filetting- meat tastes much better and less fishy. Well done crew. Great start to the crossing

Breading and frying up the jack was probably one of the best ways to prepare it. It can be pretty strong tasting to some compared to a white fish. Thanks for taking us along 🍻
