I love the progress you made. Looking good. Can't wait to see more.
High pressure pump for paint gives less dust and betterfinish! just a little tips!
😎💙👍
You guys get better and better at this every week you differently have the determination to finish this project. I use a airless high pressure paint pot for enclosed spaces a lot less mist and overspray. Wow a alcohol tap on board. I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work. 😺⛵🇺🇸
What a mammoth project you have taken on here. I am not understanding how the interior is going to work, all the doors etc etc is all this going to be custom built or will the manufacturer’s parts fit straight in? Whilst I love what you are doing watching painting and sanding gets a little boring I am looking forward to some final finishes, wiring, pipe work, engines etc but I guess you guys are too
Huthinson, long board orbital DA sander has exhaust port for vacuum removal. Expensive yes but will fit what your looking for.
You guys must be so pleased to see the primer on. The huge work you did to prepare the surfaces.
Where is the sanding? I miss the sanding. Just kidding.
Maybe i'm too old at 52, but that just seems like way too much work. I would have settled for a rougher look and just covered large areas with light-weight, decorative finish boards that are manufactured to be extremely flat. It looks amazing after the primer coat! Great job!
Looking awesome you two👍
The other gun needed more air and less paint. The new gun uses more air so it atomizes better. glad you found something that works
What is the make and model of the spray gun?
Matt…. use some guide coat after you apply each layer of primer/filler…… it is the easiest way to monitor how much sanding or filling you need to do or whennto stop sanding…either powder or a aerosol can of black acrylic black paint works fine….
So size DOES matter! Glad the new gun is working so well for you.
Why a boat cost a MILLION dollars.
Y'all need some serious exhaust ventilation to go along with that awesome spray gun. I suggest nothing less than a 6" diameter flex duct used in conjunction with a pressure fed mask.
you might try turning down the pressure to the gun to cut down on the overspray and "cloud"
I am getting pretty anxious for you guys to get that space craft in the water! The paint gun works great.
Love the glasses! Contacts and paint/dust don’t mix!
Great painting Mike, but dang add the blue angles that deserves 👌👌👌 And yes Jessica that is the coolest tap have seen on a 🎉 🎉 boat…lol
The socks looks like large condom!
stop putting oil in it that thing will run for years without oil
Great progress! Thanks for making these videos so I don't have to build a boat 🙂 I can enjoy watching you guys do it.
Everything is coming along nicely.
Do you know about nitrogen generators? Compressors that remove oxygen so you just left with nitrogen. The nitrogen molecules are larger and carry paint better. As well, with the oxygen removed, the paint delivery is more consistent since you’re just dealing with only one molecule size.
May be worth renting a compressor for the painting?
What type of compressor? Is there an air dryer?
Good equipment as the wife would say makes a world of difference. the boat is looking good.
Uuuugh, more sanding. Yuck. No wonder guys put up glue on vinyl finishes. 😂
By the time you’ve finished all the primer coat and get onto final coats it’ll be absolutely perfect
We know that!!😂 The new sprayer will be a game changer then.
Glad your taking time out of boat work to enjoy the water and Airshow.
Great video keep up the amazing job you’re doing, all the best
It's looks like you guys are getting a lot done! The work is looking great!
I take on big projects but you guys have me beat. I know I ask myself often would I do it again so I’ll ask you would you do this again or if you knew how much work it was would you have made the same decision. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure when it’s all done you’ll love it and feel very accomplished but still question is would you have made a different decision ?
The proper tool for the proper job. High grade sprayer for spraying high viscosity paints. Rum dispenser for properly lubricating partying crew. Well Done.
Have y’all though about creating a vacuum for the overspray. A cheap box fan and an a/c filter to pull the overspray.
Do you guys want an Air Supplied Respirator. I am nearby and used it when I was using the Awl Grip Products, since I am not real happy with the solvents they use. Actually did not like any of the solvents. Filtered Respirators did not cut it for me. If yes I will drop it off.
So what size nozzle are you using? 1.8MM? For high build, I would imagine a fairly large size.
You should have used an airless spray!
Those jets flying low overhead rattle your fillings in your teeth!!!
Dad used to have a 26ft Grampian at Whitehall Marina, I learned to sail in the Chesapeake. Love your videos and seeing where you are.
It is so cool to see green do away.
Your hard prep work is showing its value. I appreciate the goal to make the finish look like it is professional. You guys are professional on a smaller scale. Love it!
in a confined space like that you should try a HVLP system much less over spray! and you can do everything with it primer and topcoat! but defiantly looking good!!
5:57 I haven't watched the rest yet, just wanted to mention: You guys are allowed to compliment the new gun, that is your prerogative but, from our (the viewer's) perspective, it is the incredible amount of prep you have done that is what is making the results so awesome! Well done! And know that in the up-and-coming weeks (maybe already done IRL) we have got your back! Keep it up you guys are awesome!
