  1. That short little three person dance together was priceless, natural, rare and appreciated – celebrating life.

  2. Loved your video Holly xx. We are Kiwis and follow your channel. It looks like you enjoyed our amazing country.
    We hope you did anyway❤

  3. Ive been watching your work the past month or two. You are very good at getting the story across .

I know all too well how hard it is to document and do .. its truly a passion that comes from the thoughtful comments . Knowing that some eejit somewhere is enjoying the journey with you .

So from my coffee table in my garden in ireland ill say thank you for the departure from my life for 28 minutes . Safe travels and keep doing what you do .

This document of your time will serve as a tremendous encouragement to others. You set little fires in so many hearts . Thats what the point of it is.

    Regards

    Owen

  4. Your Polynesian way is in the night sky. Read through eyes of a digital secure navigation system. Every aspect of wind & sea are described. Sail young one & avoid the southern stormy ports. 100 mph winds are for safely moored boats. Seek the life set by your own compass . But be wary of the black sails in Indonesia. You must sail to friendly ports my most adventurous one.

  5. Another great video. Thanks!

For me on my one month backpacking trip the highlights of the fantastic NZ were walking the Tongariro crossing and when I saw 'The Lion' for the first time and then up close. Only last night I was recalling my days SCUBA diving in a number of parts of the world, and how I haven't done so for many years. Mixed feelings about it. Maybe I'd SCUBA again for nostalgia (a PNG live-aboard would be my choice) but I also experience fear and insecurity knowing how I had forgotten so much and would be at risk unless I relearned it all. I'm ever thankful I was able to SCUBA in many parts of the world that a generation ago only millionaires on private boats and marine explorers did. The Cocos Island and parts of the Red Sea were highlights for me. It would have been awesome (but hard work) to be a SCUBA instructor or Dive Master on a live-aboard but I was not confident enough. However, I demonstrated that even with poor swimming and breath-hold (when its required) abilities I was able to enjoy the wonder that is SCUBA diving! I still have all my kit standing and hanging unused for many years!

A couple of female world backpackers I met in Thailand recommend NZ to me as the best place they had so far visited and so I also now make the same recommendation.

  6. I hate driving more than you do, to the point where I never got my licence. At the start of the video you said "beautiful driving" and I literally lol'd because to me riding in a car is anything but beautiful. I hate the goddamn things. 😂

  7. My hero (heroine? – your choice) I can't tell you how much I look forward to your videos and epic adventures! And thank you so much for turning us on to sailor James – working (not really "working", but you know what I mean) my way through all of his videos, too. You guys make my life better.

  8. Days ago I found by accident a scientific poster (I'm an oceanographer), and one of the authors was Teiga Martin…I said, wait a minute, I know that name. She is a cool versatile young lady.

  9. With every setback there is always a “luckily “. That must be the spirit to keep going and humor of course
    Dan cleaned😂😂😂
    Oh and “future Holly”
I’m 56 but I am learning a lot from this girl.

  10. I love watching your videos. You are such a gentle, sweet soul with a beaming, infectious smile. keep the great content coming !

  11. You looked so happy whilst on your 2 month land break and Im glad the boat was not to musky when you returned, keep up the hard work, im really happy to be following you

  12. Bird poo on the sail cover is a real pain. I tie a length of line from the mast to just above the shackle on my topping lift. The line hangs a few inches above the boom, does a good job of stopping them landing there.

  13. Re drain problem if u use "Y" fittings instead or "T" fittings they don't easily clog because no 90 degree angle for gunk to get stuck!

  14. Hi Holly. What an amazing time you had in New Zealand. But glad to see you back on the Geck. Looking forward to the next adventure. Best wishes, Richard, in UK 🇬🇧

  15. I enjoyed the randomness of this episode, vanlife, mountain biking, dance party, crazy bird attack, sailing. Capped off with barnacles! 🤣

  16. that will exercise out your sea atrophy……tigah is back, of she lives there? ….someone needs to work on bringing back NZ's extinct giant birds….get that done, would yah?
