You missed showing the galley cupboard under the cooktop though! Spaced it?
I like the modifications/upgrades they implemented after the test sail you went on. I know you and Teresa (spelling) are anxious to get back in The Big Blue. So, excited for y'all. Stay Awesome! < fist pump >
I would say SUPER but you said it already 😂😂
Thx for your efforts! Fiddly bits are important too!
The reason why the timber comes in rough sawn is when it is machined it will move if its left for an amount of time , it will bow and twist when it takes on moisture and tension is released when the timber is made thinner , so its better to plane it up when needed to reduce the amount of movement , its better to leave it in a thick board that is thick enough to plane flat
I enjoyed that. The extent of that factory is eye opening and the actual expertise of the workers judged by the finish is a credit to them and the company. Like the headboards.🎉
You did a good job dancing around the 1170 secret development and build that was going on parallel to the 1370! Hull one and two of the 1170 there in Vietnam rest in new factory in Turkey? First 1170 already in US and being commissioned by new owners who also have a YouTube blog. They kept it secret too. Good job all around but still curious as to why? Did they not want the 1170 to step on 1370 orders?
Interesting, as always. I'm ready for you to sail!
Everythink!! Pls dont be part of the 'everythink' durge!
now things seem to speed up again! looking forward to seeing you sail your own boat again! (but being me, also looking forward to seeing her become a finished boat!)
Another diversion down side track alley. Im tipping September 😂😂😂
Will you beat the Wynns onto the water? Tula's Seawind has already been delivered. Have all these boat builds been coordinated?. I'm looking forward to some sort of mid ocean rafted cat parties. Cheers
I was trying to see how far behind the timeline is on these videos, and I noticed your website links come up as "domain expired"…
It's really going to happen. I am so happy for you two.
By the way, milk comes from cows rather than jugs, too! 😉
I'm sure you're hopping up and down with anticipation!
Not too many sleeps now! Btw I would have more solar & batteries.
Very excited for you guys. 👍
"I ve got a canine for carpentry" says the dentist, good one buddy.
I can't hardly wait to see the clears go on. Oil up the Sailrite and brush up on your cuss words.
Thanks for sharing, Nick and Terysa.
The Vietnam chapter of this channel is quickly coming to a close and quite frankly I never thought I'd find myself feeling like I was going to miss it, but I definitely will.
This has been so exceedingly interesting to see every step of the way from concept images all the way to ocean-going hardware and it has been an invaluable resource for learning as well as interesting insights into the country and its people, which is really cool.
All that said, it's going to be even more satisfying seeing the culmination of all this in the form of the boat splashing and finally spreading its wings.
Beautiful boat!
Loved your comments on the wood. I did some laminating, too, some years ago. I have a lot of respect for those who do it well. It all seems to be coming along nicely, Nick.
I love the way things have changed headboard why not makes sense. The hand rails I thought an oversite, the wood work is spot on as the build videos have been. Must admit looking forward to seeing you sitting at the helm foot up sailing.
Want to see what you missed / forgot after 3 to 6 mths at sea? There is always something.
The changes on hull-1 really do look better than the first iteration. While some people might scoff at using veneer over foam core panels, the simple fact is that the savings in weight are a major benefit for any sailing boat. That weight savings also means you have more weight-carrying capability for your personal stuff so you can live and operate that much better while underway or just living on the boat.
Suggest top hinging the headboard with locking for different slopes for relaxed reading in bed
Love the build…
Nic – thankyou – a really good feedback loop from Seawind – that is so rare for it to come through to the next build. Excellent result for you and reflects really well on Seawind. If you want to see a really excited couple about collecting their new Seawing – Tula's endless summer are over the moon with how things are playing out 1160 and they are just so happy
"How Does Raw Lumber Become a BOAT?" stay tuned next week, "How does water become wet" lol

Most excellent. This boat has it all. 🍻🤙🏼🫡🏴☠️
Nick, if you enjoy being a dentist stay away from the woodworking shop.
👍🏽
Just a comment we can't wait to see you 2 zipping round we you guys are just goid eggs nit perfect but that's why rr is fun to watch much hugs
A lot of talking and no sailing.
Fascinatibg look at the modern boat carpentery and the boat building process. Thank you PEOTMMN !!(Permanent Employee of The Month Mr Nick)😅
Where is Terysa? Why not videos of Terysa doing this, doing that? It has been months and months no Terysa. Does she have own channel? Your boat will be beautiful and looking forward you and Terysa sailing the ocean blue again. thank you for videos.
Awesome, keep up the great work
I am so excited for your new boat!!!
hey Nick maybe you think about advertising!
The whole process has been so super exciting, and I would never have thought that, but your enthusiasm has been catching! Thanks for that.
Personally, I've been loving these build episodes. It's interesting to see how these boat come together. I also watch RAN sailing, as they are building their new boat also. Watching sailing videos are fun but the build videos are just as interesting. Thanks for all your hard work.
Hey there. Curious about how much the Ruby Rose 2 option would cost a bloke like me. Do we know those figures?
Prepare for 6 weeks…. Min. 😳 I believe the most import session you all produce will be the One Year Look Back…. What you’ve learned over the last 365 days of use and NOW what would you do different. 😎
