Very exciting. I’m sure you already plan to show all the electrical systems but I would like to see the electrical and Hydro electrical systems.
There are about 8 -10 big yachts in that factory being built. How long will it take for your boat to be finished? 1 year? Or 2? Your boat is very pretty.
I'm into it. Keep the videos coming. I'm so excited to one day see your boat
Awesome interesting interviews…❤️🇨🇦
The interviews were really great! Maybe you could do a video on the documentation HH will be providing you with when you launch? Presumably a few binders?
Love meeting the engineers and builders!
It would be great to see how the hybrid system is put together and controlled.
😎
I would like to hear more about sailing. Maybe explain some of the terms for non sailors, some of the basics and. in general, relate that to how the new boat will be different or better for you vs your prior boat (i.e.. speed, navigation, safety and costs). Thanks Love your channel been following nearly from the beginning of RV life.
More on hybrid electric motors pls
As an avid sailor who has built a 40' cat 15 years ago-
the technology and systems are mind blowing (and clearly expensive). I do have 'wiring envy'-mine was nothing like that. I'm really interested in why mini keels and not daggerboards– Every cat I have had has had daggerboards and a month ago in 40 knots hard on the nose in my 35' cat, I was deeply grateful for them getting us into port (we only have a 20hp outboard) that was not going to push us into 40 knots and big seas. PhilHere’s a question for you: in the event of a lightning strike where/how is the boat earthed to the water? Carbon fibre is a conductor of electricity, does this make it easier or harder to earth the boat?
I have never heard of HH until Gone with the Wynns decided that was their next boat. Each episode got us more and more excited about HH. This one cemented our future purchase decision for our circumnavigation dream. The design philosophy and attention to detail is second to none– it reminds us a lot of how Tesla and Apple do things here in California, but fewer compromises made when it comes to quality.
Any hydraulics onboard? Steering, winches, crab pot pullers 🤣
I love hearing from super smart people who are genuinely down to earth and love what they do. They can do amazing things. Thank you for meeting them and sharing them with us
That there is the key > A designer who sails boats . I delivered a million dollar yacht 4000 miles & had to tack every time we wanted to open the fridge , thank god it had a self tacker on the jib . Worked great in the marina but with the weight of a full fridge ^ rolling motion it , The sliding fridge door was just to bloody dangerous to open in any sort of a sea way, It should have been for & arft instead of port & starboard .desisigned .
Brilliant, well designed, and very well built boat. Fantastic choice. I'd love to learn more about the different underbodies of the hulls: contours, keels, rudders/rudderstocks/rudder bearings. That's a really technical, truly impactful (pun intended!), but under-explored area (pun intended… again!).
One thing that I possibly missed… have you given what the tentative timeline looks like until your boat is really your boat?
Thanks for sharing and making me so jealous.
If you could show that, people would be blown (sic) away by how 'vacuum infusion' works for laying up the boat.
Hybrid and engine area. I'd like to see that.
HH is doing something right here with high quality traditions and yet innovates with hybrid propulsion. Other manufacturers need to step up. I might just end up switching my Seawind build for an HH.
A (final?) deep dive into the dishwasher situation would be nice😉
Deep dive into the drive system please!!! It scares me that the drive is run by software that can bu bu bu bug up.
Would love to see a more detailed look at the redundancies built in to the power system on these boats and how everything ties together between the generator, solar, sail drive, etc…
You had me at "Global Stiffness"
So exciting! Getting close now.
That was an amazing tour of the factory 😎🧡wow so interesting🙃⭐ getting excited for your own adventure to begin in your new home 🎉can't wait for the next chapter ⭐⭐thank you so much for letting us come along for the adventure of seeing what n how they create these amazing boats xxx
Thanks, Nikki and Jason, For all of the build videos. I also find it fascinating, and I like others here have stated. We like figuring out how things are put together and how they work. At my last job, I used to build aircraft parts (Air Ducts and Floor Panels). On the air duct side, I made the plaster "Mandrels" used to make the air ducts. They would use the Mandrels to wrap the Pre-impregnated (Pre-preg with resin) fiberglass, Carbon fiber, or Kevlar depending on the part and how much pressure it had to withstand. Then they would Bag the part and apply a Vacuum to press the material against the plaster Mandrels. They had set times and temps to bake. Then they would remove them from the oven, let them cool, and then do break-out where they actually broke the plaster out of the parts! So that meant my BEST work and my mistakes all went into the garbage! Not many people can say that! The Floor Panels are actually a part of the structural integrity of the aircraft! They couldn't even roll the Airplanes out of the factory without those being in place! The plane would literally break apart if you tried to move it out of the factory! I did that job for 13 years before the pandemic then got laid off. Mostly because of the pandemic but also because they moved all of our work to Mexico! 🤬🤬🤬 Oh well, I just graduated from College with a degree in Network Design and Administration. That they paid for and paid me while I did it! Their Penance for moving all of our work to Mexico!😂😂
I can't wait to see your boat when its done and the adventures that come with it all
We have been following you for years and this boat build process is intriguing. Please keep up us informed of every aspect of the build, all the detail and the people involved. So glad HH allows you to film the process they are extremely passionate and professional in their approach. Can't wait to see "Curiosity" sailing out of the big pond.
Great info thanks. After fixing aircraft for 40 years those drawings they give you will be great for when things fail. I will say after taking my mum on a Hoby 16 and having a hull a long way out of the water she asked if I could put the boat back in the water very calm for an older lady. If I was on your 44 doing that I may need a new pair of pants.
I would love to know more about the carbon mast, how it’s formed, thickness etc. permission to go full geek. 😂
The hybrid drive system! Please let it rip, don't mind the time, just give us everything 😀
Thankyou 👍
How do you saiI from XIAMEN ro the next area in which you wish to sail Eg Australia?

Are you having red (night) leds in overhead or elsewhere in main cabin and around outdoor control locations?
