10. When I was a trucker I remember sitting on the side of a back road in Kansas. It was a perfectly calm full moon night. And as I sat there taking a crap I couldn't help be be amazed at the silence. Yes this is a true story and yes I was hoping it would make people laugh. Keep living your dream Lauren!

13. Lauren I worry about you falling overboard while underway you have no tether or anything and that boat would leave you behind if you fall. Please be safe since you are alone you should at least have a line on you when walking on deck. Safe sailing!

17. Too bad you weren't around the cruising seen 30 years ago when I took my couple years off to be a boat bumb. You would have been a lot easier to look at than my hairy Sasquatch best friend of the time. Of course I am not much better looking LOL. Anyway I would have totally sailed with you and shared the adventure. I hope you find someone who will enjoy the adventure with you. I'm a lone wolf too but being totally by myself is fun for about two days then I need someone to cut up with.

21. You might want to check the mounting bolts on your windlass. I believe the windlass tilted forward when you were bringing up the anchor. Could have been an illusion caused by the TV screen. 😊

43. After twenty plus years as a singlehanded liveaboard cruiser, here is my best advice:-
    Never get off of the boat, unless you are doing something for the boat.
    Never sail on someone else's boat for any reason whatsoever.
    Never take on crew for any reason whatsoever.
    Never put off a repair.
    Never tell anyone anything.
    Never do anything for anyone who lives on land.
    Never develop romantic feelings for anyone who lives on land.
    Never live on land.
    If you have to choose between buying food and buying a boat part – go hungry.
    There is always one more thing to be done onboard.
    lf you are thinking about doing something, then you should already be doing it.
    If you stay out here long enough, you will learn who you really are … and so will everyone else … and then everything that matters will come to you and everyone that matters will come to you too.
    If you fail to adhere to any of these, you will regret it !
