Beautiful coverage, the orca's taste test Aside ❤
Pineapple coconut bannana is Ash'ent Mariner's favorite flavor of iced custard: ~ )_@m ~
Probably dare's two😀
Again, thank you very much, Niall, and once more it comes down to the wire! Genoa should be epic with so many legendary sailors celebrating the 50th anniversary. Wish I could see it all! All good wishes to you and your team. Your efforts are very much appreciated
Thanks for the report! Always well done!
Niall, your coverage of this amazing race around the world has been top notch. I must admit I'm a little sad that the Ocean Race 22-23 is almost over. Congratulations to all involved with the Ocean Race.
Good afternoon. Just don't worry, these mammals are neighbors from MaiOrca and MenOrca… 😜
Thank You all 💙 for sharing this Race 😄

The J2 sheet snapped again?!? You really have to do something about the safety and design of the IMOCAs. Apparently a lot is not dimensioned to the task on these boats.
I'm going to be going through withdrawal when this event ends!
I was a distant (as in Nat'l Geographic) follower of The Whitbread … and some refreshing of history as Imoca became involved, so I know that various controversy is part of this long legged race … still, I find it a very disappointing last leg. I am sure that Guyot Team and 11th Hour racing (even though 11th hour was on starboard … they did have a choice to evade I think ???, i.e. some responsibility) – at any rate that all comes down to redress is not a great outcome and takes away from the stellar effort on all 5 teams. And a caveat as Vendee Globe 2020 resolved to redress as well … rats!
But a huge thank you to TOR, Niall and all who put together the great videos, articles and information.
I got to go onboard Maiden when it was at Mystic Seaport last year and I felt kind of the same way— the 80s-90s Whitbread Maxis have some more comforts than the current boats, but they’re still very definitely racers built with performance in mind and the interior layout feels kind of similar to the VO-65s.
How can there be an honest winner after 11th hour was struck and disabled. Where will be NO honest winner.
Agreed , first class coverage from Niall . Going to miss this .
I think its a bit naive to talk about an adventourus experience to come close to Orcas around Gibraltar. Orcas there are a threat for life and boats. They have sunken many sailing boats there and up to now its just luck that nobody lost his life. Its time to act
