The bow entry looks pretty flat. I suspect she will pound a bit
If you like this boat, check out SV Tapatya. Toni is getting close to launching his home built.
Nice boat!
You should get to view a good Wharram Tiki 38 like Vasco Pyjamas you and the family would love it .
Calling this boat "weird" shows how little you actually understand. I realize you like "weird" and "shocked" click bait titles but really Jordan.
This boat is awesome!
This is the same design they Annie Hill sailed when she wrote
voyaging on a small income! This is a tried and true cruising design.
I have so many questions for you
Dave
it's gorgeous, the attention to detail is amazing
Going to need a lot more solar
Whoever built this vessel should be very proud.😊
It is a weird boat compared to 99% of the boats out there. That hull shape is going to make it a not very forgiving ride. Your viewers appreciate your selections, certainly better than a Catalina or Beneteau tour…keep it weird!
Fan.Fuggin.Tastic !!! Very impressive build at a fantastic price.
A nice boat and an excellent example of pride in craftsmanship, a rare bird these days. I'm touched by your understanding of the countless hours of hands-on labor of love that went into the construction of this unique little vessel. You've put in the hours yourself on two boats as is; you know what it takes; I watched all of your videos. Y'all have two kids now; it's been a while, and as usual, a great review.
My concern would be what speed could she cruise on electric and for how long? What would be the recovery time on the batteries from solar?
I’ve seen a few badgers with junk rigs. Very cool.
This was and still is a true labor of love. The craftsmanship is on the pro level. Thank you Jordan for finding this gem.
You seem to fall in love a lot. Does Randi know about this? 20 years ago I would have loved this boat. Now it's just very interesting. I agree I love these offbeat sort of boats. Keep up the good work finding these.
Amazing boat. Quality craftsmanship.
Shane the port hikes are so small. You can’t see much when inside
I picked the Benford dory from the thumbnail , a nicely executed example
Is this a gaff rigged boat?
It has similarities to the YouTube build SV Tapatya. Very charming and functional.
It looks quite nice, but how is she under weigh
It is a sharpy
What a piece of junk! Old technology that will be a burden to maintain. The placement of the solar panel under the boom will limit the effectiveness and the power generated. The design will be awful when you are at anchor and need to re-provision the boat. Electric motor with the limited inputs for generating power is a joke. Ducking through the midget portal to get to the forward birth is some kind of joke right? With solid hatches and tiny portholes you will have no light so its more like a coffin with a mast. This is the boat you buy when you want to be the person everyone makes fun of at the marina and have money to throw away.
