Please try not to narrate over background music. When you are old and going deaf like me it's hard to make out your words. Thanks, and as ever an interesting and informative episode.
If you can't sell the 'Spare' engine as is, be sure to strip all the possible spares from it before scrapping. I'm sure you will appreciate having a working spare starter, injectors and such, but I'm also sure you've already thought of that!
Delighted that you found an engine.
you definitely need sometime away from the boat
A bit of time to yourselves, enjoy your holiday.
As always I look forward to the next update.
At 9:42 I thought that Stu was going to lean over and kiss his new baby. 😗😙
What I like about this is that you guys are taking your time.
Be thankful you are not in the States. LOL 4900km one side to the other!! 🙂
Congratulations on your new engine! (It’s bigger than our Yanmar 3GM 30F, which we just had lifted into the boat.) Nice! Progress Progress Progress! 😎😂😂😂🥰
That forklift carrying your engine sounded like it's seen better days.
Hey everyone, passing by to wish you good luck. I'm on a long journey from Australia to Patagonia, then straight to Canada and Alaska. Thanks for the kind share, hugs. Rushing to translate, because I don't speak any language other than mine, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish. Your boat was beautiful, and well deserved. the best things we work for don't fall from the sky, well at least for me and your friends nothing ever fell from the sky. Do you know how much € is worth in my country? Almost 7 times more!😎🙌🌹🫶
Hope you’re not being affected by the riots we are hearing about.
"Look at the size of this van….wow wow a weee waaa"….a line from Borat?……nice….
Well done onward and upward slowly
Thanks!
I like watching your episodes but please don't play music while you are talking. I want to hear what you are saying🙂
Looks like a lot of spray paint was used on that engine you bought. But great news you have an engine 🙂
👍😎
All starting to come together. I was a bit worried that the pallet was going to split in half with all the weight, as it was been carried 90deg to hopw it should be. Allways have the top slats across the forks not in parallel. Saw one split once when it was full of crates with bottles in, made a right mess.
Looking forward to seeing the work on the engine and its install.
Congrats for this very long day and your engine. It’s a great step in your project
Glad that you have found the engine you want and fingers crossed it will work well. Looks in good nick anyway. Looking forward to your next video guys
I'm happy to know you found an engine for seabird, that's a good new, continue that way !
Have a good holiday ..
Fantasy and reality collide with low information and hope.
Sump has been sitting in the drink, with stray current they rot out quick, happened on my old man’s prawn trawler in less than 12 months, second hand engine with rattle can refurb.Knowing now I’d have resin painted the sump before going in.
🧙♂️🇬🇧😎🤞🏼🤞🏼😂👍🏼 Stay out of town till things calm down a bit … 😉
…. you got an engine .. well done ….. massive upside, you can do all the beautification/paint outside as opposed to trying to do your best on an engine installed … bright clean/painted engine room for a pristine engine ….. yes am repeating myself …. well done! …. have you ever seen those people that start out with say a washer and continually trade up and end up with something unimaginable considering what they started with, like say a house ….. all those bags of goodies from the second engine may bring more than you ever imagined … sorta like that scenario of selling a junker car for say a hundred, but parting it out realizes way more …. love your optimism … thx for sharing .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans …
Hey guys, thank you for this wonderful episode. You are so lucky to have this great engine❤❤❤
Yanmah– excellent choice
Love your videos guys but can you put the episode number first please? I can't always see them depending on what I am viewing on.
Pozdrawiam
great job you guys, we love you, keep up the great work
Hi Guys. It's Liam from Ireland again lol
Its great too see you two again. You've done so much Work on that Boat. Lovely clean engine you managed to source. I could have got an engine and drove it out to you for €3000 but its too late now. But at least you have one. Listen if there's ever anything i can do for you just let me know and i will give you my Phone number. I ❤ what your doing Stewart and everything is so expensive now. 😊 so keep it up bro.
There’s a lot of anxiety when it comes to buying used engines, I bought a rebuilt engine for my 67 Camaro, I was a nervous wreck until the day I fired that engine. It’s a lot of money on the line, and so many things can go wrong, I hope you are both blessed by the engine gods.😂
Great on the engine- just wanted to say that your music sound like a Max Richter composition which l love… carry on!❤
Re the engine mounts, have you thought about getting them sandblasted to clean and strip them back? Once again, it would be cost of sandblasting by someone else v trying to clean them yourself.
Keep cracking on.
Did you see the engine hand cranked to make sure it's not froze up. If this Yanmar doesn't have a compression release, then removing the glow plugs should allow hand cranking the engine.
Patience and persistence are excellent virtues in a project like this. You've got them in spades! Congratulations on getting the engine. It's going to be super interesting to see how you put these disparate parts together. There'll be bumps in the road but we are with you all the way. Great job.
Great video great news Aboyne getting the engine enjoy your holiday 😊
